The enzyme was purified by two-step procedures, ammonium sulphate precipitation and cefarose-4B-l-tyrosine-1-naphthylamine hydrophobic interaction chromatography, followed by biochemical and kinetic characterisation.

Article Synopsis
  • * Antioxidant properties were measured using the DPPH method, showing a 33.39% radical-scavenging effect at a concentration of 1000 μg/mL, while the oil displayed strong antimicrobial activity with MIC values of 125 μg/mL against certain microorganisms.
  • * Camphor demonstrated cytotoxic effects on human liver cancer cells and reduced proliferation in colon cancer cells at specific concentrations, although no significant effects were found in normal endothelial cells.
