Background: There is growing interest to application of regenerative medicine approaches in otorhinolaryngological practice, especially in the framework of the therapy of vocal fold (VF) scar lesions. The used conservative and surgical methods, despite the achieved positive outcomes, are frequently unpredictable and do not result in the restoration of the VF's lamina propria's structure, which provides the mechanical properties necessary for vibration. The present review of the literature is designed to analyze the currently available methods for the plastic correction of the laryngo-tracheal defects in the patients presenting with combined laryngeal stenoses at the concluding stage of their medical rehabilitation. We looked through 56 literature sources including 28 publications of the foreign authors. The analysis of -1997G/T, -1663indelT, and +1245G/T polymorphic loci of the 5'region of COLIA1 gene in 124 females aged from 50 to 70 years old with low numbers of traumatic fractures as well as 150 healthy individuals from Volga-Ural region has been conducted. The association of -1663indelT and +1245G/T loci with the risk of osteoporotic fractures has been discovered. It has been shown that -1997*G*G/-1663*I*D/+1245*G*T genotype combination and -1997*G/-1663*D/+1245*T haplotype can be considered as markers for fracture development.

A study was made of the influence of the constant MKM2-1 magnets on patients suffering from essential hypertension. Continuous action of the magnetic field, created by such magnets, on the patients with stage II essential hypertension was noted to result in a decrease of arterial pressure without the occurrence of any side effects and in a simultaneous reduction of the scope of drug administration. Apart from that fact, magnetotherapy was discovered to produce a beneficial effect on the central hemodynamics and microcirculation.
