Psychologic and hygienic examination of students working on display calculating complexes (DCC) DCC-2 and DCC-3 during the extra study time revealed the features of their functional status caused by the DCC design and work schedule. Positive role of eye exercises during the work was stressed. 6-hours duration of students' work was considered as unfavourable.

As result of psychological and physiological studies, scientific substantiation is given to the continuous duration of work with two types of video terminals: an Elektronika 15IE-00-14 display and a "Yamaha MSX-1" personal computer in 9(10)-10(11)--to form pupils at the lessons on the basis of informatics and computers, as well as the minimal and optimal duration of intervals.

The purpose of the study was to assess the dynamics of complex pollution of urban and occupational environment, territory design, air and water contamination and acoustic regime being taken into account. The technique for calculating the total load on the population was used for environment description. It was based on actual contamination in relation to standard one and the time of its effect.

An optimal fermentation medium for detection of antibiotic-producing cultures among Micromonosporaceae at the stage of primary screening was developed. The method of the experiment factor design with regard both for the qualitative and the quantitative variation of the medium composition was used. The number of the active strains detected with the use of medium M1 amounts to 76.
