Introduction: High-risk surgical patient groups include obese patients, those with suspected or known obstructive sleep apnea, and critically ill patients, who are at risk of rapid oxygen desaturation during intubation. Conventional oxygen administration in induction and intubation of patients undergoing general anesthesia include nasal cannulas, simple face masks, Venturi, buccal oxygenation, bag-valve mask ventilation, and non-invasive ventilation.

Here, diagnostic utility of four urinary biomarkers [Angiotensinogen (Angio), Interleukin (IL)-18, Neutrophil Gelatinase-Associated Lipocalin (NGAL) and Cystatin] during pre-albuminuria stages of non-hypertensive type 2 diabetes patients was studied.
Methods: A total of 952 type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) patients were screened for nephropathy [estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) ≥120 ml/min and albumin-creatinine ratio (ACR) ≥30], and 120 patients were followed up for one year.
We conducted a systematic review to evaluate the effect of high-flow nasal oxygen and conventional oxygen therapy during procedural sedation amongst adults and children. We searched MEDLINE, EMBASE and CINAHL for randomised controlled trials that reported the effects of high-flow nasal oxygen during procedural sedation. Background: We enhanced surveillance of hospitalizations of all ages for acute encephalitis syndrome (AES) along with infectious aetiologies, including the Japanese encephalitis virus (JEV).
Methods: From October 2018 to September 2020, we screened neurological patients for AES in all age groups in Maharashtra and Telangana States. AES cases were enrolled at study hospitals along with other referrals and sampled with cerebrospinal fluid, acute and convalescent sera.
Aim: The main aim of the study was to evaluate the systemic markers related to anemia in generalized aggressive periodontitis (GAgP) patients before and after phase I therapy.
Materials And Methods: Based on the inclusion criteria, 15 patients with GAgP were allocated to two groups, group A (before phase I periodontal therapy) and group B (after phase I periodontal therapy). After 3 months, clinical parameters and hematological parameters were reevaluated.
