Principles and results of one-stage plastic operation, conducted in 49 children with hypospadias, are depicted. MAGPI procedure was applied in 11 patients with hypospadias of glans penis. There were no complications.

The article deals with the results of examination and nonoperative treatment of 120 children with vesicoureteral reflux (VUR). Their ages ranged from 3 to 13 years. The authors used a complex of methods for the examination of the functional condition of the kidneys, upper urinary tract (excretory urography, renoscintigraphy, electroureterography, clearance tests), lower urinary tract (cystography, cystoscopy, cystotonometry, urethroprofilometry, electromyography of the detrusor and its obturator apparatus), bacterio- and immunological studies (determination of the microbial number, bacteria covered with antibodies, immunoglobulins G, A, and M).

View Article and Find Full Text PDFThe observations of 40 children with testicle torsion have shown results of the surgical treatment to depend not only on duration of the postoperative period but also on the degree of torsion and anatomical peculiarities of the spermatic cord. The preserved during operation testicle where non-recognized irreversible lesions have already occurred due to torsion can in later period result in the appearance of antisperm antibodies and threat of a lesion of the contralateral testicle.

In patients with microcysts without specific lesions of the prostatic gland and urethra vertical sigmocystoplasty was performed after subtotal resection of the urinary bladder. In microcysts associated with tuberculosis of the prostatic gland or urethra perineal sigmocystoplasty after the authors' technic was employed.
