Breast reconstruction impacts patients psychologically, physically and mentally. The BREAST-Q aids in the assessment of patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs).

Telemedicine has emerged as a promising solution to address the challenges of providing continuous care to breast cancer patients, particularly in remote areas. This study aims to assess the acceptability of using telemedicine for breast cancer follow-up. A cross-sectional study utilizing a self-administered survey was conducted from January to March 2024 among 450 breast cancer patients at the Universiti Malaya Medical Center, Malaysia.

A rare form of metastatic breast carcinoma mimicking lymphangioma circumscriptum.

Cutaneous metastasis is rare but may indicate an advanced internal malignancy or a recurrence of a previously treated one and is usually associated with a poor prognosis. They may also pose a diagnostic problem as the clinical manifestations are variable and non-specific, which could mimic other benign conditions. We report a case of a 48-year-old female who presented with a 4-year history of erythematous papules and vesicles on the trunk mimicking lymphangioma circumscriptum.

Diborane Reductions of CO and CS Mediated by Dicopper μ-Boryl Complexes of a Robust Bis(phosphino)-1,8-naphthyridine Ligand.

A dinucleating 1,8-naphthyridine ligand featuring fluorene-9,9-diyl-linked phosphino side arms (PNNP) was synthesized and used to obtain the cationic dicopper complexes , [(PNNP)Cu(μ-Ph)][NTf]; [NTf] = bis(trifluoromethane)sulfonimide, , [(PNNP)Cu(μ-CCPh)][NTf], and , [(PNNP)Cu(μ-OBu)][NTf]. Complex reacted with diboranes to afford dicopper μ-boryl species (, with μ-Bcat; cat = catecholate and , with μ-Bpin; pin = pinacolate) that are more reactive in C(sp)-H bond activations and toward activations of CO and CS, compared to dicopper μ-boryl complexes supported by a 1,8-naphthyridine-based ligand with di(pyridyl) side arms. The solid-state structures and DFT analysis indicate that the higher reactivities of and relate to changes in the coordination sphere of copper, rather than to perturbations on the Cu-B bonding interactions.

Clustering of HR + /HER2- breast cancer in an Asian cohort is driven by immune phenotypes.

Breast cancer exhibits significant heterogeneity, manifesting in various subtypes that are critical in guiding treatment decisions. This study aimed to investigate the existence of distinct subtypes of breast cancer within the Asian population, by analysing the transcriptomic profiles of 934 breast cancer patients from a Malaysian cohort. Our findings reveal that the HR + /HER2- breast cancer samples display a distinct clustering pattern based on immune phenotypes, rather than conforming to the conventional luminal A-luminal B paradigm previously reported in breast cancers from women of European descent.
