Purpose: To compare Italian use with current international guidelines and to evaluate oncological outcomes and toxicity patterns of adjuvant radiation therapy (RT) for endometrial cancer (EC) in Italian women.
Materials And Methods: To conduct a retrospective multicentre Italian study a large database was set up. Inclusion criteria were: accrual between 2010 and 2020, treatment with surgery, post-operative external beam RT (EBRT) and/or interventional radiotherapy (IRT) associated or not with adjuvant chemotherapy.
Background: Diminished postoperative knee extension strength may occur after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction (ACLR) with quadriceps tendon (QT) autograft. Factors influencing the restoration of knee extensor strength after ACLR with QT autograft remain undefined.
Purpose: To identify factors that influence knee extensor strength after ACLR with QT autograft.
This paper investigates novel techniques to solve prime factorization by quantum annealing (QA). First, we present a very-compact modular encoding of a multiplier circuit into the architecture of current D-Wave QA devices. The key contribution is a compact encoding of a controlled full-adder into an 8-qubit module in the Pegasus topology, which we synthesized using Optimization Modulo Theories.

However, little is known regarding the differences in clinical outcomes after operative management of overhead vs. non-overhead athletes presenting with first-time anterior shoulder instability.

Gaps in the referral system have been studied, but there is a lack of literature investigating obstacles patients encounter after first contact with bariatric surgery clinics. We aim to identify patient populations at risk for attrition during bariatric surgery evaluation and determine patient reported barriers to bariatric surgical care.

Methods: This was a retrospective review of athletes with posterior shoulder instability who underwent primary arthroscopic posterior labral repair from 2012 to 2021 with minimum 1-year follow-up. Patients who underwent RTS testing at a minimum of 5 months postoperatively were compared to a historic control cohort of patients who underwent time-based clearance.
To gain a deeper understanding of consumers' brain responses during a real-time in-store exploration could help retailers to get much closer to costumers' experience. To our knowledge, this is the first time the specific role of touch has been investigated by means of a neuroscientific approach during consumer in-store experience within the field of sensory marketing. This study explores the presence of distinct cortical brain oscillations in consumers' brain while navigating a store that provides a high level of sensory arousal and being allowed or not to touch products.

Methods: All heart transplanted patients of Transplant Centers of Bergamo and Torino with a microbiologically confirmed SARS-CoV-2 infection were enrolled.
We characterized mouse blood pressure and ion transport in the setting of commonly used rodent diets that drive K intake to the extremes of deficiency and excess. Male 129S2/Sv mice were fed either K-deficient, control, high-K basic, or high-KCl diets for 10 days. Mice maintained on a K-deficient diet exhibited no change in blood pressure, whereas K-loaded mice developed an ~10-mmHg blood pressure increase.

Objectives: Heart transplantation (HTx) in children with a univentricular physiology is a challenge. In this study, we aimed to investigate the early and late survival as well as the causes of death of HTx recipients at different stages of univentricular palliation.
Methods: Between January 1987 and September 2015, 40 orthotropic cardiac transplants were performed in 38 children with univentricular hearts at our institution.
The use of everolimus (EVL) as primary immunosuppression is steadily increasing in heart transplantation (HTx) patients. Limited data currently exist in kidney transplantation, but there is no report of EVL use during pregnancy after HTx and its pharmacokinetics in the newborn. We report a case of an unplanned pregnancy discovered at 21 weeks of gestation in a female HTx patient aged 40 years treated with EVL and cyclosporine (CyA).

Here we report our experience with pediatric PTLD nonresponsive to immunosuppression (IS) withdrawal, managed after stratification into high and low risk according to the presenting features.
Methods: This is a single-center retrospective review of prospectively enrolled patients.
CHL type is the least common major form of EBV-related PTLD but rarely occurs in pediatric recipients; development of CHL subsequent to other PTLD subtypes in the same transplant recipient is even more unusual. Because of its rarity, indications on the best treatment strategy are limited. Patients have been mostly treated with standard HL chemotherapy/radiotherapy, and prognosis seems more favorable than other monomorphic PTLDs.

In some patients, SVR can delay heart transplantation (HTX). We retrospectively analyzed our experience, trying to ascertain whether HTX after a failed SVR (fSVR) carried a greater mortality risk.

Methods/results: Show some points about the relationships above the chirurgeon, health team and patient and presents some psychological and psychopathologic answers to the patient under the trinomial illness-hospitalization-care in the period a long the diagnosis and chirurgical indication at the rehabilitation proceedings.
Conclusion: Psicologist must conquist, by knowledge and dedication, his space in surgical teams.
Patient survival after heart transplantation has improved dramatically since the availability of calcineurine inhibitor (CNIs); the number of long-term patients is progressively increasing. However, in these patients, nephrotoxicity of CNIs has been largely responsible for the progressive development of renal dysfunction. Since impaired renal function is an important issue that reduces long-term patient survival, it is important to develop strategies to improve renal function while maintaining immunologic safety to preserve graft function.

Objective: The clinical features and outcomes of patients undergoing heart transplantation after a failed Fontan operation are still debated. The aim of this study was to retrospectively evaluate our experience in 14 patients undergoing heart transplantation after previous Fontan-type operations.
Methods: From 1990 to 2002, 14 patients underwent heart transplantation in our institution after a previous Fontan procedure.
Objective: ST-segment elevation is frequently induced by dobutamine in patients with a recent myocardial infarction and may represent dyskinesia of the infarcted region or myocardial viability and ischaemia. Revascularization of the infarct-related artery may abolish myocardial ischaemia, and thus represents a useful tool to verify the significance of this finding. The aim of this study was to assess the relation between ST-segment elevation and wall motion response during dobutamine echo stress test and to evaluate the effect of coronary revascularization with percutaneous coronary angioplasty of the infarct-related artery on stress test results.
