Purpose: Compare the impact of photon-counting detector computed tomography (PCD-CT) to conventional CT on an interstitial lung disease (ILD) quantitative machine learning (QML) model.
Materials And Methods: A QML model analyzed 52 CT exams from patients who underwent same-day conventional and PCD-CT for suspected ILD. Lin's concordance correlation coefficient (CCC) assessed agreement between conventional and PCD-CT QML results.
Positron emission tomography (PET) imaging in prostate cancer has advanced significantly in the past decade with prostate cancer targeted radiopharmaceuticals now playing a growing role in diagnosis, staging, and treatment. Methods: In fall 2019, we surveyed 39 Michigan hospitals on their antibiotic stewardship strategies. The association of reported strategies with discharge antibiotic overuse (unnecessary, excess, suboptimal fluoroquinolones) for community-acquired pneumonia (CAP) and urinary tract infection (UTI) was evaluated in 2 ways: (1) all strategies assumed equal weight and (2) strategies were weighted based on the ROAD (Reducing Overuse of Antibiotics at Discharge) Home Framework (ie, Tier 1-Critical infrastructure, Tier 2-Broad inpatient interventions, Tier 3-Discharge-specific strategies) with Tier 3 strategies receiving the highest weight.
Pathological heterogeneity is common in clinical tissue specimens and complicates the interpretation of molecular data obtained from the specimen. As a typical example, a kidney biopsy specimen often contains glomeruli and tubulointerstitial regions with different levels of histological injury, including some that are histologically normal. We reasoned that the molecular profiles of kidney tissue regions with specific histological injury scores could provide new insights into kidney injury progression.
