UTAUT2-based questionnaire: cross-cultural adaptation to Canadian French.

Purpose: The extended version of the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT2) aims to better understand acceptance of technology. The objective of this study was to translate the English UTAUT2-based questionnaire to Canadian French.

Methods: The translation included five steps: (1) Forward translation, (2) Synthesis of the translated versions, (3) Backward translation, (4) Synthesis by a multidisciplinary committee and proposal of the Pre-final Canadian French version, and (5) Cognitive debriefing.

Collision Avoidance With Multiple Walkers: Sequential or Simultaneous Interactions?

Collision avoidance between multiple walkers, such as pedestrians in a crowd, is based on a reciprocal coupling between the walkers with a continuous loop between perception and action. Such interpersonal coordination has previously been studied in the case of dyadic locomotor interactions. However, when walking through a crowd of people, collision avoidance is not restricted to dyadic interactions.

Collision Avoidance Behavior between Walkers: Global and Local Motion Cues.

Daily activities require agents to interact with each other, such as during collision avoidance. The nature of visual information that is used for a collision free interaction requires further understanding. We aim to manipulate the nature of visual information in two forms, global and local information appearances.

Helical Axis Data Visualization and Analysis of the Knee Joint Articulation.

We present processing methods and visualization techniques for accurately characterizing and interpreting kinematical data of flexion-extension motion of the knee joint based on helical axes. We make use of the Lie group of rigid body motions and particularly its Lie algebra for a natural representation of motion sequences. This allows to analyze and compute the finite helical axis (FHA) and instantaneous helical axis (IHA) in a unified way without redundant degrees of freedom or singularities.
