Background/aims: To analyse the long-term anatomic and visual outcomes of patients with peripapillary pachychoroid syndrome (PPS), a recently described entity in the pachychoroid disease spectrum.
Methods: This study retrospectively included patients from several retina centres worldwide. Visual acuity (VA), retinal thickness and choroidal thickness at baseline, 6 months and final follow-up were assessed.
Importance: In some patients, hydroxychloroquine ocular toxicity may progress even following cessation of therapy. Any leverage the clinician may use to allow earlier detection may avert significant vision loss.
Observation: We report three cases suggesting that bull's eye maculopathy seen on near-infrared reflectance with a confocal scanning laser ophthalmoscope could be an early, objective manifestation of hydroxychloroquine ocular toxicity, and with progression of the disease this near-infrared "bull's eye" change may disappear.

Uveal effusion syndrome usually causes peripheral chorioretinal detachment, but posterior effusion may present as isolated macular edema with serous macular detachment in the setting of hyperopia and a thickened posterior choroid. Carbonic anhydrase inhibitors may be effective to treat this condition.

Background And Objective: To determine whether patients prefer topical anesthesia or subconjunctival anesthesia for intravitreal injection.
Patients And Methods: Consecutive patients receiving bilateral simultaneous injections of anti-vascular endothelial growth factor agents were asked to participate in this within-patient, prospective, single-blinded, randomized, factorial study. Fifty-seven patients completed the study.

Purpose: To determine the optical coherence tomography (OCT) findings in eyes with group 2a idiopathic juxtafoveal retinal telangiectasis (IJRT).
Methods: Forty-one eyes of 22 patients with nonproliferative group 2a IJRT were examined. OCT testing including retinal topographic mapping and analysis, and horizontal and vertical line scans, was obtained on each eye.
