Herein we report a series of transient absorption and photocurrent experiments as a function of excitation wavelength and temperature for two low-band-gap polymer/fullerene blends to study the mechanism of charge separation at the donor/acceptor interface. For the blend that exhibits the smallest donor/acceptor LUMO energy level offset, the photocurrent quantum yield falls as the photon excitation energy is reduced toward the band gap, but the yield of bound, interfacial charge transfer states rises.

Background: Management of patients with hypoplastic LH syndrome and borderline left ventricle (LV) involves 2 options: SVP or biventricular repair. We hypothesized that staged LV recruitment and biventricular conversion may be achieved after SVP by using a strategy consisting of relief of inflow and outflow tract obstructions, resection of endocardial fibroelastosis, and promotion of flow through the LV.
The influence of postharvest curing temperature and duration on development of slippery skin (caused by Burkholderia gladioli pv. alliicola) and sour skin (caused by B. cepacia) in onion (Allium cepa) bulbs during storage was evaluated by inoculating bulbs of the storage cultivars 'Redwing' and 'Vaquero' with each of the pathogens after harvest, curing the bulbs at 25, 30, 35, or 40°C for 2 or 14 days, and storing the bulbs at 5°C for 1, 2, or 3 months.

Materials And Methods: This HIPAA-compliant and institutional review board-approved prospective study was performed with waiver of patient informed consent. A total of 1,157,980 screening mammograms obtained between 1994 and 2008 in 435,183 women aged at least 40 years were included.
Ambipolar OFETs with balanced hole and electron field-effect mobilities both exceeding 1 cm(2) V(-1) s(-1) are achieved based on a single-solution-processed conjugated polymer, DPPT-TT, upon careful optimization of the device architecture, charge injection, and polymer processing. Such high-performance OFETs are promising for applications in ambipolar devices and integrated circuits, as well as model systems for fundamental studies.
