We have incidentally observed a finding not yet described in the literature, on both cross-sectional imaging and fluoroscopy, to correlate with increased obstructive symptoms in our post sleeve gastrectomy patients. This case series aims to show postsurgical imaging cases with the common underlying finding of a pseudotumor associated with hiatal herniae and obstructive symptoms. Because this clinical presentation may, in some cases, warrant postsurgical revision, knowledge of the imaging findings and their potential clinical significance is useful to radiologists who interpret routine cross-sectional imaging examinations as well as fluoroscopic evaluations of these post sleeve gastrectomy patients.

We reconstructed the fish community and oceanographic conditions of the most recent global warm period (last interglacial; 130 to 116 thousand years before present) by using sediments from the northern Humboldt Current system off the coast of Peru, a hotspot of small pelagic fish productivity. In contrast to the present-day anchovy-dominated state, the last interglacial was characterized by considerably smaller (mesopelagic and goby-like) fishes and very low anchovy abundance.

The photometer quantifies the concentration of antigens based on light absorption, which allows for a low-cost implementation without expensive optical components. We propose a light controller to lower the start-up and settling time of the light source to 30 seconds, to facilitate fast measurement starts, and to decrease the overall measurement times.
