Our experiments were performed under the aspect of kidney perfusion in vivo. Our goal was to find a medium which would help preserve the potential donor kidney within the cadaver until the time of explantation. A perfusion medium must be chosen that transports oxygen and releases it in the organ to be preserved, so that the metabolic processes continue without damage to the tissue.
