Dehydrated integral forage palm cladode flour (FPF) presents a promising nutritional and functional approach to enriching fettuccine-type pasta. This study investigated the use of microwave-dehydrated FPF (at 810 W) as a partial wheat flour substitute (0, 5, 10, 15, and 20% /) in fresh and dry fettuccine-type pasta. Germination is a simple and cost-effective technology that enhances the technological, sensory, and nutritional potential of grains, making them more attractive for use in the food industry. Germinating indigenous seeds is an alternative to increase noticeability and add value to these grains, which hold social and economic significance in the regions where they are cultivated, such as creole purple pericarp corn (PPCC) from the Couto Magalhães de Minas region in Brazil. Firstly, broken kernels hardly achieve a high market value; whole rice is healthy not only for their nutrient contents but also for their phytochemical profile, rich in phenolic compounds; breakfast cereals from pigmented rice are colored by themselves, and any additional colorant is unneeded; finally, rice is naturally gluten-free and suitable for those with conditions like celiac disease or gluten sensitivity. ZnO nanoparticles (NPs) are highly relevant for various industrial applications, however, after synthesis of the NPs residual chemicals need to be removed from the colloidal raw product by washing, as they may influence the performance of the final device. In the present study we focus on the effect of washing by antisolvent flocculation with subsequent redispersion of the NPs on the stabilizing acetate shell. Purification of the ZnO nanoparticles is reported to be optimal with respect to zeta potential that has a maximum after one washing cycle.

The platelike nanocrystals exhibit for tetracosane an unusual orthorhombic low-temperature crystal structure. The corresponding WAXS pattern can be reproduced with a predicted orthorhombic unit cell (space group Pca21), which usually occurs only for much longer even-numbered n-alkanes.
