Objectives: This study investigates the relationship between the cerebro-placental ratio (CPR) measured at 40+0 weeks' gestation and perinatal outcomes to determine a CPR cut-off that may justify induction of labor at term in appropriately grown fetuses (AGA). Although CPR is used for monitoring growth-restricted fetuses, its role in guiding labor induction decisions for AGA pregnancies at term remains unclear.
Methods: A retrospective cohort study was conducted using data from 491 singleton pregnancies with intended vaginal deliveries between 2015 and 2021.

Introduction: Induction of labor is indicated when benefits of delivery outweigh benefits of prolonged pregnancy, which is not always welcomed by women. Castor oil is accepted as an "old household remedy" for labor induction but is not yet part of the official guidelines. Nevertheless, it is often used, mostly even before the women are admitted to the hospital.

We aimed to analyse cardiovascular health of women 10-20 years after affected pregnancies in comparison to women after uneventful pregnancies. In addition, we assessed a potential long-term effect of the NO-donor pentaerythrityl tetranitrate (PETN).

Aim of our study was to determine whether progressive muscle relaxation affects anxiety and depression levels of pregnant women, pregnancy outcomes, labour pain and analgesic requirements.
Materials And Methods: 156 pregnant women were enrolled in a prospective non-randomized controlled cohort study.
Background: Preterm birth and fetal growth restriction are the main determinants of perinatal mortality. In the absence of therapeutic interventions, management is restricted to the observation of fetal growth and fetoplacental perfusion to determine the timing of delivery. Fetal circulatory redistribution, known as "brain sparing," represents a sign of fetal hypoxia and has been implemented in algorithms for when to deliver.

Our prior study identified an association between prenatal GC prophylaxis and reduced cognitive performance, electrocortical changes, and altered autonomic nervous system (ANS) activity in children aged 8-9 years. This follow-up study aimed to examine whether these findings persisted into adolescence.

We aimed to estimate the risk depending on gestational age at infection (early <28 + 0 and late ≥28 weeks of gestation, WoG), virus variants, severity of infection, and vaccination. PTB was divided into early PTB (<32 + 0) and late PTB (32 + 0-36 + 6 WoG).

Due to the heterogeneous management during labor, there is a lack of intention to define quality of care of peripartal analgesia. This study presents the first results of the national register for this evaluation.

Objective: We present data on adverse events reported during the study to document the safety of pentaerythrityl tetranitrate treatment during pregnancy. To further evaluate the effects of pentaerythrityl tetranitrate on neonatal and long-term outcomes, we present follow up data from of 240 children at 12 months of age, including information on height, weight, head circumference, developmental milestones, and the presence of chronic disease and of 144 newborns admitted to the neonatal intensive care unit during the trial.
Nausea and vomiting of pregnancy (NVP) is among the most common conditions that pregnant women encounter in the early stages of pregnancy. It can affect up to 85% of pregnant women, thus representing a significant public health concern. NVP results in substantial negative physical, emotional, and financial consequences.

Pentaerythrityl tetranitrate (PETN) is an established drug in the treatment of coronary heart disease and heart failure. It is assumed, that the vasodilative and vasoprotective effects of PETN also have a positive impact on pregnant patients with impaired placental perfusion and studies evaluating the effect of PETN in risk pregnancies have been carried out. In the context of these clinical trials, measuring of serum levels of PETN and its metabolites pentaerythrityl trinitrate (PETriN), pentaerythrityl dinitrate (PEDN), pentaerythrityl mononitrate (PEMN) and pentaerythritol (PE) were required.

The aim of this study was to assess and compare the attitudes and approaches of obstetrical specialists and prenatal diagnosticians in prenatal conflict situations.
Methods: Explorative cross-sectional online survey among tertiary perinatal care centers and prenatal diagnosticians with DEGUM Level II/III in Germany.
Background: Gender Gap refers to differences between men and women in terms of access to medical education, career development, and leadership positions in medical practice and research. Although women now make up most medical school graduates in many countries, they are often underrepresented in higher positions.
Objective: The aim of this study is therefore to analyze the gender-specific development in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology in Germany over the past 20 years and to survey the current .
Introduction: Induction of labour is a common obstetric procedure to initiate or augment contractions when labour is delayed or uncertain. The double balloon catheter is a safe and effective mechanical method for cervical ripening during induction of labour. This study evaluates the effectiveness of reducing double balloon catheter insertion time from 12 to 6 hours.

Objectives: Our hypothesis suggests that adhering to the European Medical Device Regulation (MDR) and following the instructions for use are essential prerequisites for successful therapy. Conversely, the non-adherence to these guidelines will probably contribute to its failure.
The aim was to develop evidence-based recommendations where possible. The guideline presents the medical principles and scientific evidence for indications, the counselling of affected women, performing terminations, the choice of method, and the care and monitoring of a terminated pregnancy up until week 12 + 0 of gestation p. c.

This is done by using consistent definitions, objective evaluations and standardized treatment protocols. When this guideline was compiled, special consideration was given to previous recommendations in prior versions of this guideline and the recommendations of the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology, the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, and a detailed individual search of the literature about the different topics was carried out.

Pregnant people are considered a vulnerable group given the physiological changes during pregnancy and the potentially long-lasting consequences for the offspring. Evidence published to date on higher risk of pregnancy complications upon heat stress exposure are from geographical areas with high ambient temperatures.
