Objectives: To use systematic review to evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of segmental enhancement inversion (SEI) at contrast-enhanced biphasic multi-detector computed tomography (MDCT) for the diagnosis of renal oncocytoma.
Methods: Several electronic databases were searched through October 2013. Two reviewers independently selected studies that met the inclusion criteria and extracted data.
Purpose: MR localization of implanted devices for radiotherapy (RT) in prostatic carcinoma is critical for treatment planning. This clinical note studies the application of a multi-echo gradient recalled echo (GRE) pulse sequence with sum of squares echo combination (ME GRE) to enhance detection of seeds and fiducials.
Materials And Methods: Fifteen patients who underwent MRI using fast spin echo (FSE), single-echo and ME GRE over a 9-month period were retrospectively evaluated by two readers who assessed overall image quality, depiction of seeds/fiducials and image sharpness using a 5-point scale (1 = poor, 2 = suboptimal, 3 = adequate, 4 = above average, 5 = excellent).
Radiation nephropathy was first recognized in 1906. The kidney is a radiosensitive organ with a tolerance dose (5% complications in 5 years) of 20 Gray. The imaging findings of acute and chronic radiation induced renal injury are previously described.

Methods: Ferumoxytol consists of a superparamagnetic iron oxide (SPIO) core, which causes T1, T2 and T2* shortening effects, and a carbohydrate shell, which results in a prolonged intravascular half life.
Results: These properties are under-reported and not well recognised.
Objective: To evaluate the yield of each phase in a triphasic CT protocol used to diagnose acute mesenteric ischaemia (AMI).
Methods: Retrospective analysis of patients who underwent CT to exclude AMI was conducted. From 218 patients, 80 were randomly selected for analysis: 39 with proven AMI; 41 controls.
Objective: To identify patient and physician characteristics associated with family physicians recording blood pressure (BP) measurements in the medical charts of their elderly patients.
Design: Retrospective review of patients' charts during a 12-month period and baseline questionnaire on the sociodemographic and practice characteristics of family physicians participating in the Community Hypertension Assessment Trial. The chart review collected data on patients' demographics, cardiovascular risk factors, antihypertensive medications, number of visits to family physicians, and number of BP readings recorded.
