Early B cell lymphopoiesis depends on E2A, Ebf1, Pax5 and Ikaros family members. In the present study, we used acute protein degradation in mice to identify direct target genes of these transcription factors in pro-B, small pre-B and immature B cells. E2A, Ebf1 and Pax5 predominantly function as transcriptional activators by inducing open chromatin at their target genes, have largely unique functions and are essential for early B cell maintenance.

Combination approaches are needed to strengthen and extend the clinical response to KRAS inhibitors (KRASi). Here, we assessed the antitumor responses of KRAS mutant lung and colorectal cancer models to combination treatment with a SOS1 inhibitor (SOS1i), BI-3406, plus the KRAS inhibitor, adagrasib. We found that responses to BI-3406 plus adagrasib were stronger than to adagrasib alone, comparable to adagrasib with SHP2 (SHP2i) or EGFR inhibitors and correlated with stronger suppression of RAS-MAPK signaling.

Chiral crystals and molecules were recently predicted to form an intriguing platform for unconventional orbital physics. Here, we report the observation of chirality-driven orbital textures in the bulk electronic structure of CoSi, a prototype member of the cubic B20 family of chiral crystals. Using circular dichroism in soft x-ray angle-resolved photoemission, we demonstrate the formation of a bulk orbital-angular-momentum texture and monopolelike orbital-momentum locking that depends on crystal handedness.

Despite the prevalence of neck pain, evidence is lacking regarding the relationship of pathophysiology to function in people with neck conditions. Although movement-based diagnoses based on directional preference (DP) are described for lumbar spinal conditions, how these diagnoses guide interventions is not supported in the Cervical Spine Clinical Practice Guidelines. Robust measures of animal densities are necessary for effective wildlife management. Leopards () and spotted hyenas () are higher order predators that are data deficient across much of their East African range and in Uganda, excepting for one peer-reviewed study on hyenas, there are presently no credible population estimates for these species. A lack of information on the population status and even baseline densities of these species has ramifications as leopards are drawcards for the photo-tourism industry, and along with hyenas are often responsible for livestock depredations from pastoralist communities.

Neutrophils help to clear pathogens and cellular debris, but can also cause collateral damage within inflamed tissues. Prolonged neutrophil residency within an inflammatory niche can exacerbate tissue pathology.  The objective of this paper was to determine the extent to which dry needling is instructed in entry-level education programs for physical therapists.  Program directors from 226 entry-level education programs recognized by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education were recruited via e-mail to participate in an anonymous 35-item electronic survey during the 2017-2018 academic year.  The survey evaluated dry needling curricula, faculty qualifications, attitudes and experience, and programs' future plans for teaching dry needling.

Aims: Animal studies suggest that inhibition of dipeptidyl peptidase 4 (DPP-IV) may improve heart function and survival after myocardial infarction by increasing cardiac myocytes' regenerative capacity.
