A variety of different synthesis methods for the fabrication of solar cell absorbers based on the lead halide perovskite methylammonium lead iodide (MAPbI, MAPI) have been successfully developed in the past. In this work, we elaborate upon vacuum-based dual source co-evaporation as an industrially attractive processing technology. Vacuum-based co-evaporation promises to bring perovskite solar cells to larger scales, but details of the film formation from the physical vapor phase are still underexplored. In this work, we investigate the growth of methylammonium lead iodide (MAPbI[Formula: see text]) absorbers prepared by co-evaporation of methylammonium iodide (MAI) and lead iodide (PbI[Formula: see text]) using an in situ X-ray diffraction setup. The rear interface of kesterite absorbers with Mo back contact represents one of the possible sources of nonradiative voltage losses (Δ) because of the reported decomposition reactions, an uncontrolled growth of MoSe, or a nonoptimal electrical contact with high recombination. Several intermediate layers (IL), such as MoO, TiN, and ZnO, have been tested to mitigate these issues, and efficiency improvements have been reported. However, the introduction of IL also triggers other effects such as changes in alkali diffusion, altered morphology, and modifications in the absorber composition, all factors that can also influence Δ.

Objective: To establish the intrarater reliability of lower limb circumference measures in a sample of individuals who are diagnosed with lower limb lymphoedema and to evaluate if change in limb position has an effect on the reliability of circumferential measures.

Thin-film solar cells based on polycrystalline absorbers have reached very high conversion efficiencies of up to 23-25%. In order to elucidate the limiting factors that need to be overcome for even higher efficiency levels, it is essential to investigate microscopic origins of loss mechanisms in these devices. In the present work, a high efficiency (21% without anti-reflection coating) copper indium gallium diselenide (CIGSe) solar cell is characterized by means of a correlative microscopy approach and corroborated by means of photoluminescence spectroscopy.

We report a case of bifacial weakness with paresthesia, a recognized Guillain-Barré syndrome subtype characterized by rapidly progressive facial weakness and paresthesia without ataxia or other cranial neuropathies, which was temporally associated with antecedent coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19). This case highlights a potentially novel but critically important neurologic association of the COVID-19 disease process. Herein, we detail the clinicoradiologic work-up and diagnosis, clinical course, and multidisciplinary medical management of this patient with COVID-19.

Objective/background: Limited data are available on sleep-disordered breathing (SDB) following intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH). Our aim was to characterize the objective measures of post-ICH SDB and questionnaire-reported pre-ICH sleep characteristics, overall and by ethnicity.

Patients/methods: Participants with ICH who were enrolled in the population-based Brain Attack Surveillance in Corpus Christi project (2010-2016) reported their pre-ICH sleep duration and completed the Berlin Questionnaire to characterize pre-ICH risk of SDB.

Perovskite solar cells based on (CH3NH3)Pb(I,Cl)3 have recently demonstrated rapidly increasing cell efficiencies. Here, we show progress identifying phases present during the growth of (CH3NH3)Pb(I,Cl)3 perovskite thin films with the vacuum-based coevaporation approach using two sources under varying deposition conditions. With in situ X-ray diffraction, crystalline phases can be identified and monitored in real time.

Objective: Ankylosing spondylitis (AS) is associated with clinical and subclinical mucosal inflammation, suggesting that commensal bacteria contribute to the pathogenesis of the disease.

Methods: The frequency of Th1 cells reacting towards conserved Escherichia coli (E coli) proteins and pathogenicity factors in peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMNC) and synovial fluid mononuclear cells (SFMNC) of patients with AS and those with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) was determined.
