Methods: This was a retrospective cohort study assessing the impact of the pandemic on perinatal outcomes for pregnant WLWH using data from the Perinatal HIV Surveillance Program in British Columbia, Canada.

Factors affecting resilience in Namibian children exposed to parental divorce: a Q-Methodology study.

Introduction: Divorce is a contributor to family instability within sub-Saharan Africa, and specifically within Namibia, an increasing number of children are exposed to its impact. However, not all children react uniformly to the impact of parental divorce, and many children may be resilient. Understanding what promotes resilience in children post-divorce in African contexts is vital, given the unique socio-cultural context.

Objectives: To investigate treatment patterns of women with isolated fever in labour and evaluate if variables in the sepsis in obstetrics score (SOS) or fetal tachycardia are associated with treatment differences. Our secondary objective was to compare women with isolated fever in labour with women with clinical chorioamnionitis to identify any clinicodemographic differences.

Methods: A retrospective cohort study of 473 patients at BC Women's Hospital who presented with isolated fever in labour between January 2011 and April 2016 compared with a dataset of 1135 women with clinical chorioamnionitis from 2011 to 2016 in the same institution.

The association between intra-operative hypotension and postoperative acute kidney injury, mortality and length of stay has not been comprehensively evaluated in a large single-centre hip fracture population. We analysed electronic anaesthesia records of 1063 patients undergoing unilateral hip fracture surgery, collected from 2015 to 2018. Acute kidney injury, 3-, 30- and 365-day mortality and length of stay were evaluated to assess the relationship between intra-operative hypotension absolute values (≤ 55, 60, 65, 70 and 75 mmHg) and duration of hypotension.

Women living with HIV commonly have bothersome vasomotor symptoms and onset of menopause at earlier ages; both factors go on to affect quality of life and systemic health. Vasomotor symptoms and early menopause are both indications for menopausal hormone therapy; however, current evidence suggests that this therapy is seldom offered to women living with HIV.
