Treating hazardous landfill leachate poses significant environmental challenges due to its complex nature. In this study, we propose a novel approach for enhancing the anaerobic digestion of landfill leachate using silver nanoparticles (Ag NPs) conjugated with eco-friendly green silica nanoparticles (Si NPs). The synthesized Si NPs and Ag@Si NPs were characterized using various analytical techniques, including transmission electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, and Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy.

Aim: Enhance the implementation of the occurrence variance reporting (OVR) system at the Obstetrics and Gynecological Hospital in Port Said Governorate, Egypt.
Design: A quasi-experimental research design for one group (pre-posttest) and a mixed-methods approach was conducted in this study.
In this study, a simple method based on non-ionic surfactant polysorbates-80 was used to create mesoporous γ-AlONPs. The properties of the prepared mesoporous alumina nanoparticles (AlONPs) were verified using ATR-FTIR, XRD, SEM, TEM, DLS, and BET surface area analysis. Then, thin-film nanocomposite (TFN) nanofiltration membranes were fabricated by interfacial polymerization of embedded polyamide layers with varied contents (0.

The removal of this toxic contaminant from the industrial effluents prior to final disposal is necessary. The study comprehensively evaluates the performance of sequential batch membrane bioreactor (MBR) for treating wastewater laden with 1,4 dioxane.

Methods: PUBMED, EMBASE and Web of Science were searched for comparative studies of patients undergoing varicose vein interventions and received either thromboprophylaxis or no thromboprophylaxis. Data were collected on the number of thrombotic events including deep vein thrombosis (DVT), pulmonary embolism (PE) and endothermal heat-induced thrombosis (EHIT) as well as bleeding events.
Diclofenac (DIC)-induced acute kidney injury (AKI) causes high morbidity and mortality. With the absence of satisfactory treatment, we investigated the protective effects of 6-Paradol (PDL) against DIC-induced AKI, with focus on renal autophagy and NLRP3 inflammasome pathways . PDL has anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and AMPK-activation properties.

Moreover, Aframomum melegueta seed extracts (AMSE) are used in traditional medicine to relieve stomachaches and inflammatory diseases.
Aim: Chronic administration of diclofenac (DIC) has been reported to cause acute kidney injury (AKI), which is a serious health condition.
The present study aims at evaluating potential of the ethanol extracts of leaves (LE), flowers (FlE) and roots (RE) in the treatment of renal calculi and characterising the secondary metabolites in the active extract. The results revealed that the FlE had significantly reduced the levels of kidney parameters (calcium, creatinine, urea, and uric acid) against ethylene glycol (EG) injuries, and restored the activity of glutathione peroxidase (GPx), superoxide dismutase and lipid peroxide malondialdehyde to the normal level. In addition, FlE significantly attenuated iNOS tissue expression caused by EG.

These techniques offer lower complication rates with similar efficacy to traditional open surgery. In recent years, nonthermal ablation (NTA) in the form of mechanochemical ablation and cyanoacrylate vein ablation has been suggested to further reduce perioperative morbidity.

These sets include nine oleoyl chalcones as mimics of oleoyl estrone, three monohydroxy chalcones (chalcone ligands), Schiff base-derived chalcones and four copper as well as zinc complexes. Oleoyl chalcones 4d, 4e and particularly 6a as an isosteric isomer of oleoyl estrone, were as active as Orlistat on weight loss and related metabolic parameters using male SD rats in vivo.

Rabies experts from seven Middle East and Eastern European countries (Croatia, Egypt, Georgia, Iran, Serbia, Turkey, and Ukraine) met for two days in Istanbul, Turkey (June 8-9, 2010), to exchange information on the epidemiological situation concerning human and animal rabies in their respective countries and to discuss strategies for rabies elimination and control. They decided to establish a regional network, the Middle East and Eastern Europe Rabies Expert Bureau (MEEREB), a regional network of experts, to increase collaboration in rabies prevention and control at the local, regional, and global levels.

Delayed presentation of a brachial artery pseudoaneurysm following penetrating trauma is infrequently reported. We report the case of a 23-year-old male who presented three months following a penetrating trauma to his antecubital fossa with a sudden exacerbation of swelling and tenderness of his elbow. Doppler ultrasound and computed tomography arteriography confirmed the presence of a large pseudoaneurysm.
