Objectives: To clarify capability for work readiness in newly graduated registered nurses as viewed from the perspective of clinicians in practice, educators in tertiary institutions, and graduates.
Design: Integrative review.
Data Sources: Databases searched for peer-reviewed studies included PubMed, MEDLINE, ERIC, Campbell collaboration, Google Scholar, and Cochrane databases.
Purpose: To compare biochemical recurrence free survival (BCRFS) and cancer-specific survival (CSS) after brachytherapy using the AUA and the Phoenix definitions.
Methods And Materials: 2634 men with T1-T4N0M0 prostate cancer were treated with brachytherapy with or without neoadjuvant hormonal therapy or external beam radiation therapy. Five, 10, and 15- year BCRFS and CSS were estimated with Kaplan-Meier estimates with log rank.
Aim: The aim of this integrative review is to explore how formative online multiple-choice tests used in nurse education promote self-regulated learning and report on pedagogies that support their design.
Background: Online multiple-choice tests are widely used as learning and formative assessment tools in a range of educational contexts. However, little is known about how these tools are used to promote patterns of learner self-regulation.
Biotin is widely used in infant formula to prevent biotin deficiency of newborn babies and in beauty products as nutritional supplements for coenzymatic functions and having strong nails, shiny hair, and skin over the last few years. There is a need for the development of a fast, simple and reusable assay method to perform biotin determination at very low concentrations. Biotin determination has achieved with a prepared potentiometric biotin sensor that has a very wide concentration range (10M-10M) and a lower detection limit (0.

Methods Participating GPs at two surgeries completed a questionnaire - integrated into the practice management software - after each consultation that satisfied the inclusion criteria during a four-week period. Results Due to feasibility constraints, 500 of 857 (58.

Studies to date have been composed of mixed treatment cohorts-open, laparoscopic and robotic. The objective of this study is to assess clinicopathological risk factors for intravesical recurrence after RNU for UTUC in a completely minimally invasive cohort.

Crosslinking of hydrogels is an essential parameter in bioprinting applications, which is beneficial for tuning structural specifications. In this study, gelatin-alginate-whey protein isolate based hydrogels have been used for 3D printing structures in a layer-by-layer fashion.

However, embryological, genetic, and anatomical differences exist between them. We sought to explore the relationship between location of urothelial cancer and overall survival (OS).

It plays a significant role in various fields such as environmental analysis, production monitoring, drug detection or screening, veterinary medicine, and animal food. In this study, an antibody crosslinked graphen oxide (GO)-based potentiometric sensor has been developed for fast, simple, and economical detection of clenbuterol.

Materials And Methods: We analyzed RAPN performed by a single surgeon at an academic medical center from July 2018 to June 2019 and identified those individual patients who were discharged on the same day. These cases were then compared to a concurrent inpatient RAPN group.

In this study, carbon dioxide (CO ) capture and conversion systems based on the combination of biomimetic systems with nano enzymes have been developed. The effectiveness of the developed system has been investigated toward CO conversion. For this aim, nano ribulose bisphosphate carboxylase/oxygenase (RuBisCO) enzyme that plays role in the Calvin cycle in photosynthesis has been synthesized in 93 nm size according to AmiNoAcid (monomer) Decorated and Light Underpinning Conjugation Approach (ANADOLUCA) method.

Background Cognitive load theory (CLT) uses an understanding of brain architecture for educational design, with implications for simulation. Since working memory is limited, minimising extraneous cognitive load improves learning of new tasks (intrinsic load) and use of existing knowledge (germane load). This study evaluates the effectiveness of low-fidelity simulation (LFS) utilising CLT principles in the assessment and management of the deteriorating patient (AMDP).

ANADOLUCA is based on photo-electron transfer method and uses these decorated nanocrystals for specifically and effectively recognition and detection of Immunoglobulin M in the aqueous environment. The conjugation method effectively provides an orientation of affinity pairs on the surface of quantum dots nanocrystals.

Methods And Materials: A total of 105 men with International Prostate Symptom Score (IPSS) 20-35 before PPB were categorized by IPSS change at last followup: (1) worse = IPSS rise >3; (2) no change = IPSS change within three points of baseline; (3) improved = IPSS fall by >3 points. We then evaluated patients who worsened vs.
This Participatory Action Research (PAR) project aimed to engage students from an accelerated 'fast track' nursing program in a mentoring collaboration, using an interdisciplinary partnership intervention with a group of academics. Student participants represented the disciplines of nursing and paramedicine with a high proportion of culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) students. Nine student mentors were recruited and paired with academics for a three-month 'mentorship partnership' intervention.

Urologists should have a comprehensive understanding of various VTE risk factors in order to weigh the risk of postoperative hemorrhage with the possibility of fatal pulmonary embolus. Risk factors such as advanced age, obesity, and active malignancy are especially common in patient's undergoing urologic pelvic surgery, and thus this issue becomes particularly relevant to the practicing urologist.

The sacrificial microchannels were printed on polydimethoxysilane substrates by a direct ink writing method using water-soluble Pluronic F-127 ink and then encapsulated between polydimethoxysilane layers. The structure of micron-sized channels was analyzed by optical and electron microscopy techniques.

In this study, a biomemory device, consisting of hemoglobin (Hb) cross-linked by MACys-Ru(bipyr)-MACys) photosensitive monomer cross-linkers, which have memory effect through both Ru in hapten monomer and Fe in redox active center of Hb through multi-charge transfer mechanism, has been improved. Cyclic voltammetry (CV) has been used to determine the redox property of the Hb cross-linked MACys-Ru(bipyr)-MACys) hapten. Three memory functions, writing, reading and erasing of the fabricated biomemory device, have been accomplished by chronoamperometry (CA) and open-circuit potential amperometry (OCPA).
