Perceptions of the Research Integrity Climate in Egyptian Universities: A Survey Among Academic Researchers.

Investigations regarding perceptions of the institutional research integrity climate in the Arab Middle East remain underexplored. We surveyed faculty from three Egyptian universities. We utilized the Survey of Organizational Research Climate (SOuRCe) tool, which incorporates seven subscales that measure different aspects of the research integrity climate.

Orthology Prediction and Phylogenetic Analysis Methods in Plants.

In this chapter, we outline a pipeline for ortholog prediction and phylogenetic analysis in plants. This computational pipeline uses algorithms from different software to enable bioinformatic-beginner biologists to predict orthologs that can be shared with many distinct plant nonmodel and model species and identify gene loss events. Prediction of orthologs allows (1) investigation of the evolutionary relationships of plant genomes, (2) discovery of their origin, function, and (3) the impact of their adaptability to the environment.

Bioactive metabolites of hass and reed avocados targeting methicillin-resistant enterotoxin-like X via molecular modeling and cytotoxicity assessments.

The aim of this study is to estimate the nutritive values, metabolites of Hass and Reed Avocado cultivars and evaluate their antimicrobial and anticancer activities. Hass was rich in water soluble vitamins, iron and calcium while, Reed contains more fat soluble vitamins. Benzaldehyde and butyl phenol derivatives were the major volatile components identified by solid phase extraction in Hass and Reed, respectively.
