Two-dimensional (2D)-layered atomic arrangement with ultralow lattice thermal conductivity and ultrahigh figure of merit in single-crystalline SnSe drew significant attention among all thermoelectric materials. However, the processing of polycrystalline SnSe with equivalent thermoelectric performance as single-crystal SnSe will have great technological significance. Herein, we demonstrate a high of 2.

Facile and efficient early detection of cancer is a major challenge in healthcare. Herein we developed a novel sensor made from a polycarbonate (PC) membrane with nanopores, followed by sequence-specific Oligo RNA modification for early gastric carcinoma diagnosis. In this design, the gastric cancer antigen CA72-4 is specifically conjugated to the Oligo RNA, thereby inhibiting the electrical current through the PC membrane in a concentration-dependent manner.

The working electrode's surface property is crucial to cell adhesion and signal collection in electric cell-substrate impedance sensing (ECIS). To date, the indium tin oxide (ITO)-based working electrode is of interest in ECIS study due to its high transparency and biocompatibility. Of great concern is the impedance signal loss, distortion, and data interpretation conflict profoundly created by the movement of multiple cells during ECIS study.

Article Synopsis
  • There's a growing demand for better methods to analyze how cancer cells react to treatments.
  • Researchers have developed a label-free, real-time technique using a single cell gated transistor (SCGT) to monitor individual HeLa cells during therapy, focusing on cell death responses.
  • The SCGT measures changes in cell morphology and ion concentrations as cells undergo apoptosis, effectively replacing traditional patch clamping methods for analyzing single-cell activity.
