Objectives: This study's objective was to test the hypothesis that transesophageal echocardiography (TEE)-based mitral annular plane systolic excursion (MAPSE) measurement is useful in perioperative settings to detect left ventricular (LV) systolic dysfunction in patients undergoing off-pump coronary artery bypass grafting (OPCAB).
Design: Retrospective observational study.
Setting: Tertiary-care level hospitals.
