Invasive ductal carcinoma at the site of a cosmetic nipple piercing.

We report a young female patient diagnosed with an invasive ductal carcinoma at the site of a prior cosmetic nipple piercing. She had no significant familial, genetic, or other carcinogenic risk factors to account for her presentation. A review of the literature confirms that trauma can occasionally be associated with invasive breast cancer, but such a connection has not previously been related to nipple piercing procedures.

Dedifferentiated endometrial carcinoma metastasis to axillary lymph node: a case report.

Background: We present an unusual case of a left axillary lymph node metastasis from a primary dedifferentiated endometrial carcinoma. This pattern of metastasis is likely the result of circulating tumor cells reaching the node through its arterial blood supply.

Case Presentation: In this report, a 68-year-old white woman with a dedifferentiated endometrial carcinoma underwent a hysterectomy.

Outcome of African-American compared to White-American patients with early-stage breast cancer, stratified by phenotype.

Background: Breast cancer mortality rates are 39% higher in the African-American (AA) women compared to White-American (WA) women despite the advances in overall breast cancer screening and treatments. Several studies have undertaken to identify the factors leading to this disparity in United States with possible effects of lower socioeconomic status and underlying aggressive biology.
