Objectives: To study medicine prescribing pattern for chronic kidney disease (CKD) patients on maintenance hemodialysis.

Materials And Methods: This prospective observational study was conducted in hemodialysis unit of a teaching hospital with adult CKD patients on maintenance hemodialysis. Patients' clinical profile, drug-use pattern, and medication-related problem data were captured in a structured case report form and the data were analyzed descriptively.

We investigate the ground state properties of a family of N-body systems in one dimension, trapped in a polynomial potential and having long-range two-body interaction in addition to the inverse square potential studied in the Calogero-Sutherland model (CSM). We show that for such a Hamiltonian, the ground state energy is similar to that of free fermions in a harmonic well with a displacement that depends on the number of particles and depth of the well. We obtain the ground state wave function and using random matrix results, study the particle density and pair correlation function (PCF).

Non-Gaussian random-matrix ensembles are important in many applications. We propose Monte Carlo and Langevin methods for generating non-Gaussian ensembles and their eigenvalue spectra. We also provide a general framework for analytic studies of the level density in these ensembles.

There is considerable interest in understanding the relation between random-matrix ensembles and quantum chaotic systems in the context of the universality of energy-level correlations. In this connection, while Gaussian ensembles of random matrices have been studied extensively, not much is known about ensembles with non-Gaussian weight functions. Dyson has shown that the n-level correlation functions can be expressed in terms of a kernel function involving orthogonal and skew-orthogonal polynomials--orthogonal for matrix ensembles with unitary invariance and skew orthogonal for ensembles with orthogonal and symplectic invariances.
