Background: Hemovigilance has become one of the important quality check systems of blood transfusion process, but under/non-reporting of transfusion-associated adverse reactions despite the presence of reporting systems emphasize the need to understand the challenges being faced in active reporting of adverse transfusion reactions.
Aim: To identify and document the possible factors leading to under-reporting and impacting the quality of blood transfusion reactions being submitted under Haemovigilance Programme of India (HvPI).
Settings And Design: This was a cross-sectional, observational type study, carried out in six blood banks, two each of government, private, and stand-alone sectors in Delhi National Capital Region enrolled under HvPI.
Early pulmonary congestion detection and surveillance in acute heart failure patients can prevent decompensation, minimize hospitalizations, and improve prognosis. In India, the warm and wet types of HF are still the most common types and residual congestion at discharge is still a significant concern. Thus, there is an urgent need for a reliable and sensitive means of identifying residual and subclinical congestion.

Aims: The aim of the study was to explore the prevalence of depression and its associated sociodemographic factors among school-going adolescents.
Purpose: To compare different regimens of vitamin D with respect to its serum increment levels and bone mineral accrual in vitamin D-deficient children.
Methods: Children identified as being vitamin D deficient (serum levels<20 ng/mL) were divided into 3 treatment groups by stratified block randomization (group 1, 4,000 IU/day of vitamin D3 plus 50 mg/kg/day calcium for 12 weeks; group 2, 30,000 IU/wk of vitamin D3 plus 50 mg/kg/day calcium for 12 weeks; and group 3, 300,000 IU of vitamin D3 once intramuscularly plus 50 mg/kg/day calcium). After regimen completion, each child received a maintenance dose of 400 IU/day vitamin D3 plus 50 mg/kg/day calcium.
Tubercular meningitis (TBM) is a devastating extra pulmonary manifestation of tuberculosis and demonstrates a high neurological morbidity. A rare complication of this condition is Kluver-Bucy syndrome (KBS), which is a neurobehavioral disorder characterised by hyper-sexuality, visual agnosia, bulimia, placidity, hyperorality and memory deficits caused by lesions to the amygdala. The amygdala lesions can be due to many causes, including traumatic brain injury, systemic conditions and infections such as tuberculosis.

Cardiac complications during bronchoscopy are uncommon, and usually occur in elderly patients with coexistent coronary artery disease, hypertension, or severely impaired pulmonary function and resting hypoxemia. We report a patient who developed sudden onset restlessness, chest discomfort, hypotension, global ST elevation in multiple electrocardiogram leads, and acute severe left ventricular systolic dysfunction during a bronchoscopic transbronchial lymph node biopsy.
