Stability of skeletal changes after activator treatment of patients with class III malocclusions.

The aim of this study was to examine the skeletal changes produced by Class III activator during the treatment of patients with skeletal Class III malocclusions and to characterize the stability of these changes in the years after treatment. The samples consisted of 19 girls and 9 boys. Their mean age was 9.

The significance of the integumentary profile.

Profile analysis was performed on 180 Thai female subjects with ages ranging from 16 to 21 years. Seventy were of Chinese origin. The determination of the profile analysis mean values was based on the methods of Schwarz, Subtelny, Ricketts, Burstone, and Schwartz.

Epidemiological findings in Indonesia of orthodontic interest.

Of the 110 Sundanese girls and boys we examined anthropometrically 99% were hyper- or brachycephalic, in 75.5% of the population this was combined with hyper-eury- or euryprosopy. From a dentist's standpoint, the following findings were noted: Primary crowding in 85%, deep-bite in 55%, bi-alveolary protrusion in 22% and canine-like upper lateral incisors in 20% of the cases examined.

Variations in the shape of permanent maxillary lateral incisors in Sundanese.

During a survey in Java we found unusual shaped upper lateral incisors. A total of 110 school children shows 3 cases with pegging, approximately 20% with canine-like shape. In all cases the lateral incisor was present.
