View Article and Find Full Text PDFBackground: Rupture of pregnant rudimentary horn in a pseudounicornuate uterus is usually resulting in severe and dramatic haemoperitoneum at the beginning of the second trimester of gestation. Advanced abdominal pregnancy due to horn rudimentary uterine rupture with delivery of a viable fetus is exceptional.
Aim: To analyse obstetrical entailments, diagnosis and current concepts of management of advanced abdominal pregnancy secondary to rudimentary horn rupture.
Between 1994 and 2004, 104 patients with epithelial advanced ovarian cancer were treated in the central region of Tunisia (81 stage III and 23 stage IV). Average age of patients was 54 years. Primary surgery was optimal (residue < 2 cm) in 40 cases (38,5 % of patients).
