  • Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic inflammatory disease, and musculoskeletal ultrasonography (USG) is being increasingly used for evaluating disease activity in patients, particularly in India where such studies are limited.
  • The study aimed to compare disease activity scores from clinical evaluations with scores obtained from musculoskeletal ultrasound in RA patients.
  • Results indicated a strong positive correlation between disease activity scores (like DAS 28 and CDAI) and the USG findings, suggesting that USG can effectively assess joint conditions and may serve as a cost-effective alternative to traditional imaging methods.
