COVID-CT-Mask-Net: prediction of COVID-19 from CT scans using regional features.

We present COVID-CT-Mask-Net model that predicts COVID-19 in chest CT scans. The model works in two stages: in the first stage, Mask R-CNN is trained to localize and detect two types of lesions in images. In the second stage, these detections are fused to classify the whole input image.

One Shot Model For The Prediction of COVID-19 And Lesions Segmentation In Chest CT Scans Through The Affinity Among Lesion Mask Features.

We present a novel framework that integrates segmentation of lesion masks and prediction of COVID-19 in chest CT scans in one shot. In order to classify the whole input image, we introduce a type of associations among lesion mask features extracted from the scan slice that we refer to as affinities. First, we map mask features to the affinity space by training an affinity matrix.

Classification and Visualisation of Normal and Abnormal Radiographs; A Comparison between Eleven Convolutional Neural Network Architectures.

This paper investigates the classification of radiographic images with eleven convolutional neural network (CNN) architectures (). The CNNs were used to classify a series of wrist radiographs from the Stanford Musculoskeletal Radiographs (MURA) dataset into two classes-normal and abnormal. The architectures were compared for different hyper-parameters against accuracy and Cohen's kappa coefficient.

[The Morbidity of Infection Diseases in the USSR: Myths and Reality. Report II. 1950-1990].

The article considers the made known, systematized and analyzed indices of morbidity of infectious diseases in the USSR in 1950-1990. The results of comparative analysis of morbidity of infectious diseases in the USSR and developed countries are presented. It is proved that despite of current opinion presented in publications epidemiological morbidity in the USSR was not eradicated.

The article presents the analysis of elicited and systematized indices of morbidity of acutely contagious diseases in the Empire of Russia and the USSR in 1887-1949. The firmly established in scientific literature opinion about stable epidemic well-being set in the USSR in 1930-1940s is disproved. It is established that in the USSR during this period occurred increasing of morbidity of infectious diseases.

[Gastroesophageal variceal bleeding in cirrhotic patients: the possibilities of effective hemostasis].

Aim: To improve the results of treatment of gastroesophageal variceal bleeding (GEVB) in cirrhotic patients with thrombocytopenia.

Material And Methods: A total experience of the clinic includes 338 GEVB patients, endoscopic variceal ligation (EVL) and transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt (TIPS) were performed in 162 and 157 cases respectively. This is the first time the process of organizing the Clinic of Eye Diseases at the Moscow University has been traced and systematized basing on archival documents and publications - from rendering three beds for ophthalmology patients within the surgical clinic in 1805 to the establishment of a separate department of ophthalmology and subsequent foundation of the Hospital Eye Clinic in the Devich'e pole (Virgin's field) district in 1892.
