Background Anemia of chronic disease is known to be associated with inflammation. However, the relationship between hemoglobin (Hb) levels and potential inflammatory markers such as neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR), monocyte-to-lymphocyte ratio (MLR), platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR), and mean platelet volume-to-platelet count ratio (MPV/PC) has not been extensively studied.
