While numerous studies explored the response of walnut plants to drought stress (DS), there remains a significant gap in the knowledge regarding the impact of heat stress (HS) and the combined effects of DS and HS on the recovery capacity of walnut trees. This study aimed to investigate the mechanism of Persian walnut (cv. Chandler) response to the combined DS and HS, focusing on various aspects including photosynthesis, water relations, and osmotic regulation.

In this regard, we conducted a comprehensive study of two fiber lasers that utilized 25/400 and 30/250 µm ytterbium-doped fibers (YDFs), both theoretically and experimentally. The optimum length of YDFs required for 40 dB of amplified spontaneous emission suppression was calculated.

However, the vigor and vitality of walnut trees were heavily affected by bark canker during the last few years. Irregular longitudinal cankers in the outer bark, stem tissue necrosis, and bleeding with black-colored exudates walnut trees were observed in Kermanshah, Hamedan, Markazi, Alborz, Isfahan, Qom, Semnan, and Razavi Khorasan provinces in western, central and eastern Iran during 2018 and 2019.

In this study, the positive role of nanoparticles of SiO, Se, and Se/SiO (SiO-NPs, Se-NPs and Se/SiO-NPs) has been investigated in modulating negative effects of drought on the growth and yield of strawberry plants. Spraying of solutions containing nanoparticles of SiO, Se, and Se/SiO (50 and 100 mg L) improved the growth and yield parameters of strawberry plants grown under normal and drought stress conditions (30, 60, and 100%FC).

Knowledge about flowering genes of fruit trees can help to conduct better molecular breeding programs. Therefore, this study was carried out to investigate the expression pattern of some flowering genes (FT, SOC1, CAL, LFY and TFL1) in Persian walnut (cv.

The incoming pulses that are spectrally wide yield from a superposition of monochromatic beams with a constant frequency distance. Our simulations show that the most intense and shortest attosecond pulses can result from hydrogen molecular ions with large internuclear distances which are exposed to irradiation of intense pulses with a frequency width greater than 0.

The research objective in the current study was to synthesize novel anti-diabetic curcumin derivatives with inhibitory properties against α-amylase (α-Amy) and α-glucosidase (α-Gls), as these two carbohydrate-hydrolysing enzymes are known to be important molecular targets for attenuation of postprandial hyperglycemia. The curcumin-based pyrano[2,3-d]pyrimidine derivatives were synthesized in the presence of curcumin, barbituric acids and aldehydes, using a multi-component reaction (MCR).

Materials And Methods: Forty-two titanium pins were inserted in seven dry sheep mandibles. The length of these pins was measured using a digital caliper with readability of 0.
Purpose: Vertical root fracture (VRF) is a common complication in endodontically treated teeth. Considering the poor prognosis of VRF, a reliable and valid detection method is necessary. Cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) has been reported to be a reliable tool for the detection of VRF; however, the presence of metallic intracanal posts can decrease the diagnostic values of CBCT systems.

In this approach, introducing the ASE gain-coefficient profile for the KrF laser, g(0,KrF)(ASE), was not avoidable. It was found that while the g(0,KrF)(ASE) profile follows the introduced gain-modeling formulation, it is, however, slightly lower than the KrF laser gain profile, g(0,KrF)(exp), deduced from the measurements reported by different researchers.

Acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) is the most common childhood malignancy. Skeletal abnormalities have been described in association with ALL including osteoprosis and bone fractures. Different factors including the disease itself or soluble products of malignant cells and treatment agents like cytotoxic drugs, methotroxate, corticosteroids and radiotherapy may be responsible for defective bone homeostasis in these patients.
