Background: Understanding health literacy and its predictors is fundamental for adolescents to have healthy lives. This study investigated the association between exposure to violence and other factors with health literacy levels among Palestinian middle school students.

Methods: This cross-sectional study included middle school students.

In recent years, red-fleshed apple has attracted a lot of attention due to its pleasant appearance, taste, and being a valuable source of anthocyanins. This study focused on the accumulation and changes of the bioactive and aroma-related volatile components at different production stages of a red-fleshed apple vinegar.

Fast food consumption and its relationship with oral health among US adults: A cross-sectional NHANES-based study.

This study aimed to assess the link between fast-food consumption and oral health outcomes as measured by the mean number of decayed, missing due to dental disease, or filled permanent teeth (DMFT) and teeth with untreated dental caries. This study utilized data obtained from the National Health and Nutritional Examination Survey (NHANES). The data used was collected from 11,288 participants aged 20 and above from 2015 to 2018.

Background Post-acute COVID-19 syndrome (PACS) is a syndrome characterized by a wide spectrum of symptoms emerging after clearance of coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) infection. These symptoms include fatigue, myalgia, arthralgia, cognitive dysfunction, and many other psychiatric symptoms. Given that fibromyalgia patients have similar symptoms, we conducted a web-based cross-sectional study to investigate the prevalence and predictors of fibromyalgia patients who recovered from COVID-19.

Health literacy among adolescents and young adults in the Eastern Mediterranean region: a scoping review.

Objectives: For adolescents and young adults, most health literacy research has been conducted in Western countries, but few studies have been conducted in the Eastern Mediterranean region (EMR). This review aimed to explore the existing health literacy research in the EMR in addition to the levels of health literacy and its associated factors among adolescents and young adults.

Methods: The search, conducted using the PubMed/MEDLINE, EBSCOhost/CINAHL plus, Web of Science and J-STAGE databases, was initially performed on 16 June 2022 and later updated on 1 October 2022.

SARS-CoV-2 Infection of Young Infants during the Omicron Wave: A Case Series.

We describe the clinical course of 4 infants infected with severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2. All were admitted to our tertiary care neonatal intensive care unit during the Omicron variant wave in our region. All 4 infants, who were less than 3 months of age, including three born prematurely, presented with critical illness.

Severe coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) occurs in approximately 10% of neonates infected with severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2. Guidelines for optimal management of severe COVID-19 in neonates do not exist. In this report, we describe a late-preterm neonate with severe COVID-19, requiring invasive mechanical ventilation who recovered following treatment with remdesivir and high dose dexamethasone.

Introduction: Painful tip penile ischemic lesion that varies from ulceration to dry gangrene which is calcified in a patient with ESRD on chronic dialysis is a seriously complicated disease due to microvascular disease of subcutaneous and adipose tissue.

Case Presentation: 72 gentleman who is on chronic dialysis for the last 8 years because of ESRD, In which he developed many vascular disease and amputation done for him presented with spreading black painful areas at the tip of the glans for which conservative treatment took place for about month.

Discussion: The diagnosis and management of this rare disease still unclear.

Awareness Toward COVID-19 Precautions Among Different Levels of Dental Students in King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Purpose: The risk of acquiring coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) among dental professionals is high because they are exposed to aerosol production and body fluids during dental procedures. Therefore, the aim of the study was to determine the level of awareness among the dental students regarding COVID-19.

Materials And Methods: An online cross-sectional questionnaire with three sections (knowledge, attitudes, practice) was completed by 412 postgraduate and undergraduate dental students and interns from King Saud University in Saudi Arabia.
