Introduction: Ankylosis is a physically and psychologically distressing condition to a patient. The aim of this study was to evaluate the efficiency of custom-made temporomandibular joint (TMJ) prosthesis (fossa-condyle component) in patients with unilateral ankylosis in restoring the form and functions of the TMJ.

Materials And Methods: This retrospective study was conducted in ten patients with unilateral TMJ ankylosis who had undergone TMJ reconstruction with custom-made TMJ prosthesis.

Plunging Ranula in a 78- year- old Male - a Rare Case Report.

The term Ranula is a Latin word meaning frog. It refers to a bluish translucent cystic lesion in the floor of the mouth resembling the underbelly of a frog. Ranulas can be true cysts occurring due to ductal obstruction of the sublingual gland or a minor salivary gland or a pseudocyst as a result of ductal injury leading to extravasation and accumulation of saliva in the surrounding tissues.

Odontogenic Keratocysts in Gorlin-Goltz Syndrome: A Case Report.

Gorlin-Goltz syndrome is an autosomal dominant inherited condition comprising the principle triad of basal cell carcinomas, multiple jaw keratocysts, and skeletal anomalies. The presence of jaw cysts are the early diagnostic feature of this syndrome, and this can be incidentally identified by routine radiographs. A patient presented with signs and symptoms of Gorlin-Goltz syndrome to us in her early stages.

Aggressive fibromatosis of the mandible in a two-month old infant.

Aggressive fibromatosis is a benign spindle cell tumor with locally infiltrative behavior and tendency to recur. It has overlapping features with other spindle cell lesions and hence it is pertinent to be distinguished from them as they have different treatment modalities. We report a rare case involving the mandible of a two-month old infant with histopathological, immunohistochemical and imaging features.

Ancient schwannoma of the infratemporal fossa.

Schwannomas are benign tumors of neurogenic origin arising from the Schwann cells of peripheral, cranial, and autonomic nerves. Schwannomas in spite of constituting 25-40% of head and neck tumors the percentage of intraoral schwannomas is merely 1%. Among the intraoral schwannoma the occurrence of the variant "ancient schwannoma of the infratemporal fossa with an intraoral presentation is very rare.

Five root canals in peg lateral incisor with dens invaginatus: A case report with new nomenclature for the five canals.

This case report describes endodontic treatment completed in a peg-shaped maxillary lateral incisor, with single root and five root canals of which, one is due to dens invaginatus. Cone beam computed tomogram scanning confirmed the unique morphology of the tooth. New nomenclature for the five canals is proposed.

Cystic granular cell ameloblastoma.

Ameloblastoma is a locally aggressive benign epithelial odontogenic tumor, while unicystic ameloblastoma is a relatively less aggressive variant. Although rare in unicystic or cystic ameloblastoma, granular cell change in ameloblastoma is a recognized phenomenon. The purpose of the present article is to report a case of cystic granular cell ameloblastoma in 34-year old female.
