Vaginal agenesis, a rare and complex congenital anomaly predominantly linked to Mayer-Rokitansky-Küster-Hauser (MRKH) syndrome or complete androgen insensitivity syndrome (CAIS), demands innovative and highly individualized treatment strategies to achieve anatomical and functional restoration. While non-surgical options like vaginal dilation remain foundational, the advent of custom-made stents has redefined the paradigm of care, emerging as a transformative tool in both post-surgical and non-surgical management. Bridging the expertise of prosthodontics and gynecology, personalized stents not only enhance healing and maintain patency but also elevate patient comfort and compliance.

Research across various species has identified rules for when to leave a depleting patch, influenced by environmental factors like patch quality. Here we compare human and gerbil patch-leaving behavior through two analogous tasks: a visual search for humans and a physical foraging task for gerbils, both involving patches with randomly varying initial rewards that decreased exponentially.

However, not all with red eye are due to infection and some can be threatening to visual loss. This study aimed to explore the knowledge, attitude, and practice (KAP) among the general public regarding red eye attending a tertiary care hospital, Tamil Nadu.

Methods: Academic Search Complete, African Journals Online, CINAHL, Medline, PsychInfo, and two gray literature sources were searched in January 2023, and updated in June 2023. Relevant studies published from 2012 were included.
Objectives: To examine loneliness in old age and whether intergenerational reciprocity and WHO functional ability predicted loneliness.
Methods: Using the China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study Wave 4 (2018) database (CHARLS), logistic regression models were adopted to investigate the relationships.
Results: The prevalence of loneliness was 28% in older people in China.
Objectives: The study explored the associated factors of depression among older Indian adults and the influences of individual and socio-environmental factors in explaining the rural-urban difference in the prevalence of late-life depression.
Methods: Data come from the Longitudinal Aging Study in India, with a sample of 30,637 older adults aged 60 and above. Multivariable logistic regression and nonlinear multivariate decomposition analyses were conducted to fulfill the objectives.

A new naked-eye chromogenic and fluorogenic probe KS5 has been developed for the detection of CN ions in neat DMSO and HO:DMSO (1:1 v/v) media. The probe KS5 exhibited selectivity towards CN and F ions in organic and high selectivity towards CN ions in aquo-organic media resulting in a colour change from brown to colourless and a turn-on fluorescence response. The probe could able to detect CN ions via a deprotonation process, which was conceived by consecutive addition of hydroxide and hydrogen ions and confirmed using H NMR studies.

This may be especially so, considering the recent longitudinal evidence that individuals are inclined to become more religious with increasing age. Thus, the purpose of the present study was to assess the association between loneliness and life satisfaction among older adults in India, and the extent to which the association between loneliness and life satisfaction is moderated by spirituality, religiosity, and religious participation.

This study aimed to investigate the wealth-based inequalities in physical frailty and to quantify the contributions of potential predictors of frailty to this inequality.
Methods: Data were drawn from the first wave of the Longitudinal Ageing Study in India (LASI) conducted during 2017-18.

Background: Population ageing is a major challenging demographic transition with socioeconomic and health issues. Women constitute 55% of all older persons facing a lot of ill-health, social deprivation, etc., Globally various studies have reported the health issues in men and women as a whole.

In Aotearoa/New Zealand, there is a dearth of nursing knowledge relating to Māori, which negatively impacts on the provision of holistic nursing care. This research explores insights and perspectives of older Māori adult's (pakeke) perceptions of wellbeing so nurses can provide culturally responsive care and support the wellbeing of Indigenous New Zealanders.

This research examined associations of possible protective factors (personal efforts and beliefs) and depressive symptoms among older adults in India. This cross-sectional study used data from the Longitudinal Aging Study in India with 31,464 respondents aged 60 years and above.

Physical frailty is one of the most important phenotypes used to understand the vulnerable nature of older adults. This paper examined the association between food security and physical frailty in older adults.

Implants have been used to support mandibular or maxillary prosthetic rehabilitation. Advantages of using implants are increased retention, increased chewing ability, and also easy access to oral hygiene procedures.

Background: Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) was estimated to affect 15% to 30% of males and 5% to 15% of females with prevalence increasing with progressive tooth loss and its early identification can reduce the sequalae of OSA. Apnea-hypopnea index is confirmatory but unsuitable for clinical settings to detect OSA and concise screening tools are required to detect OSA in edentulous patients.
Aim: To evaluate the impact of soft palate visibility and tongue position on incidence of OSA among edentulous patients.
Aims And Objectives: The study aimed to explore the perspectives of adult children about late-life living and care arrangements for their ageing immigrant parents living in New Zealand.
Background: Older immigrants' well-being is closely associated with filial relations and is often reliant on families as a main source of social, financial and emotional support. Research among migrant Asian adults has reported mixed findings regarding intergenerational perspectives of filial practices.
The objective of this research was to explore social connectedness and associations with self-perceived health amongst older adults in New Zealand at a population level. The data for this analysis were derived from the 2016 Health and Lifestyle Survey, a nationally representative survey administered via face-to-face interviews. The findings from this analysis of 1,374 respondents, all of whom were over the age of 55 years, highlight that being female, belonging to older age groups (above 70 years), being employed full-time or part-time, connecting online with known people, considering cultural connections to be important and not feeling isolated from others are significantly and positively associated with positive self-perceived health.

Educating students to provide interprofessional collaborative practice (IPCP) in primary healthcare (PHC) requires a robust rigorous model relevant to future practice. A scoping review was undertaken to identify existing models of IPCP in PHC, the interprofessional or collaborative theories on which the models were based, reported outcomes, and enablers of and barriers to IPCP in PHC. The 35 eligible studies included 27 models, most of which were designed for a specific PHC site or program.

In this article, we describe an approach which uses a combination of statistical and mathematical methods to forecast the outcome of the trial with respect to its stated goal of reducing the prevalence of infection to below 2%.
Methods: Our approach is first to define the local patterns of transmission within each study site, which is achieved by statistical inference of key epidemiological parameters using the baseline epidemiological measures of age-related prevalence and intensity of STH infection which have been collected by the DeWorm3 trials team.

Problem statement and aim The esthetics of the complete denture primarily depend upon the color of the denture teeth; however, there are situations where the teeth are subjected to extrinsic and intrinsic stains and discolor over time. The purpose of the study was to investigate the effects of smoking and two different denture cleaners on the color stability of the denture teeth. Material and methods Commercially available maxillary anterior teeth made up of acrylic resin were selected for the study and were divided into two groups (n=10): persulfate-free denture cleanser and persulfate containing denture cleansers.
