Purpose: Despite the heterogeneity of anatomical sites that metastases may affect, within the current cancer staging schematic, stage IVB encompasses all distant metastasis. This study examined survival outcomes based on the extent of distant organ metastasis in stage IVB cervical cancer.

Objective: The association between early surgical menopause and increased mortality has been well demonstrated. Prior studies have also demonstrated that ovarian conservation is not associated with worse oncologic outcomes in early-stage cervical cancer. Purpose: Ocular brachytherapy is a standard-of-care surgical procedure for globe salvage in the treatment of uveal melanoma. The procedure involves the placement and subsequent removal of a radioactive plaque several days later. At many locations, patients are admitted on an inpatient basis until plaque removal due to radiation safety concerns.
