We describe a 60-year-old man with a history of primary cutaneous anaplastic large cell lymphoma on the chest, who presented with a new scaly red plaque on the same site 11 years after radiation therapy. Histological examination revealed a dense epidermotropic infiltrate of atypical mononuclear cells consistent with pagetoid reticulosis. Immunohistochemistry revealed the infiltrate to be CD4, CD8, and CD30.

An indispensable component of all pathology and dermatology residencies is obtaining proficiency in the area of dermatopathology. The purpose of this study is to quantify dermatopathology training in pathology and dermatology residencies and the amount of continuing medical education in dermatopathology in leading journals of both fields. Dermatology residents complete more hours of dermatopathology than pathology residents.

Although some preliminary work exists examining the impact of atopic dermatitis (AD) in children on their families, there is no empirical work examining specific parent caregiver factors that could contribute to the family impact of this condition. We conducted a cross-sectional, exploratory analysis of how parent caregivers are affected by their child's AD, and how certain parent caregiver characteristics and perceptions affect the family impact of this condition. Parent caregivers of children with AD (n = 49) were administered a survey to collect detailed data on socioeconomic status, health perceptions, and caregiving issues.

Background: Thalidomide is an anti-inflammatory agent and an immunomodulator that inhibits the production of tumor necrosis factor alpha. It has shown promise as a treatment option for the cutaneous manifestations of lupus erythematosus (LE).

Objective: To assess the degree of clinical response per subtype of cutaneous lupus, the duration of therapy before documented clinical improvement, and the incidence of adverse effects, including peripheral neuropathy, with low-dose thalidomide therapy at 100 mg daily in the treatment of refractory cutaneous lesions of LE.
