This study examined human-animal symbiosis in an animal-assisted intervention through observations of animal maintenance behaviors. The rise of psychotherapy, learning, and recreation incorporating animals warrants exploration of the welfare of the animals involved in these interventions. The analysis of welfare in multispecies engagements can be discussed in terms of symbiosis.

The aim of this study was to determine the feasibility of measuring fidelity of implementation for a PCIT intervention designed for young children with Down syndrome.
Method: We applied a framework to measure dosage, adherence, quality, and participant responsiveness using a mixed methods approach with observational and interview data.
Correction for 'The kinetic resolution of oxazinones by alcoholysis: access to orthogonally protected β-amino acids' by Sarah A. Cronin , , 2021, , 7348-7352, DOI: 10.1039/D1OB01306H.

A novel, stereochemically dense cinchona alkaloid-based catalyst can facilitate the highly enantiodiscriminatory (S up to 101) ring-opening of oxazinones equipped with electrophilic aryl units to generate orthogonally protected β-amino acids for the first time.

Using a library of ad hoc designed bifunctional phase-transfer catalysts in which both the anion and the cation are directly involved in the reaction, the desymmetrisation of meso-succinic and -glutaric anhydrides is possible. 19F NMR spectroscopic studies support the intermediacy of an acyl fluoride intermediate.

This study used outcome data from a sample of participants (N=272) who took the online Parents Forever™ course between 2012 and 2014. Participants were asked questions about positive and negative co-parenting behaviors as well their levels of conflict before and after the divorce or separation.

The aim of this study was to investigate the challenges and feasibility of pre-clinical quantitative imaging and mouse-specific dosimetry of In-labelled radiotracers. Attenuation, scatter and partial volume effects were studied using phantom experiments, and an activity calibration curve was obtained for varying sphere sizes.

The use of N-mesyl aldimines is key, as more basic imines undergo rapid uncatalysed reactions, while imines possessing larger N-sulphonyl substituents form lactams with lower ee.
