Objectives: This study compares the restoration of single-tooth implants with screw-retained lithium-disilicate hybrid-abutment crowns and single-tooth lithium-disilicate crowns adhesively bonded to hybrid abutments with regard to objective clinical and subjective patient-specific evaluation criteria over a time of observation of 3 years.
Materials And Methods: Two bone-level implants were placed in contralateral sides of the same jaw in 10 patients, each with two single-tooth gaps. After osseointegration, implants were uncovered and an impression was taken.
Objectives: Single midline implants in the edentulous mandible can be used to support existing complete dentures to improve patients' satisfaction and masticatory efficiency. The impact on patients' dietary habits and the influence of the loading protocol of the implants was the subject of this study.
Materials And Methods: In this prospective randomized clinical trial, edentulous patients with existing complete dentures in both jaws were treated with a single midline implant in the mandible.
In addition to zinc oxide-based cements, resin-based materials are also available for temporary cementation. The aim of this in vitro study was to determine the influence of the different material compositions on temporary bonds. Overview: Esthetic rehabilitations in complex situations need careful treatment planning and comprehensive interdisciplinary approach. Minor orthodontic pretreatments may transfer complex situations into straight forward situations.
Purpose: To test the bond strength of one-piece zirconia implants with either standard or reduced height using different luting agents and pretreatments of the ceramic crowns' inner surfaces.
Materials And Methods: Twenty monolithic CAD/CAM-fabricated zirconia single crowns were cemented onto 10 one-piece zirconia implants with either 5-mm or 4-mm abutment height (Z-Look3 Evo SLM, Z-Systems) using 13 different luting agents. After water storage, the crowns were removed using a specially developed test fixture in a universal testing machine (Z010, Zwick/Roell).
Objective: The insertion of implants through template-guided surgery is an established method. At the present time, the static navigation is based on sleeves integrated into the guides, through which drill bits of the corresponding size are passed. The present clinical trial is designed to test a new sleeveless system to determine the precision of implant insertion for one-piece ceramic implants.
