Background: The objectives of this study were to (1) evaluate telemetry use pre- and postimplementation of clinical decision support tools to support American Heart Association practice standards for telemetry monitoring and (2) understand the factors that may contribute to variation of telemetry monitoring in practice.

Methods And Results: First, we captured overall variability in telemetry use pre- and postimplementation of the clinical decision support intervention. We then conducted semistructured interviews with telemetry-ordering providers to identify key barriers and facilitators to adoption.

Angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2), first discovered in 2000, serves as an important counterregulatory enzyme to the angiotensin II-mediated vasoconstrictive, pro-inflammatory, and pro-fibrotic actions of the renin-angiotensin system (RAS). Conversion of angiotensin II to the peptide angiotensin 1-7 (ANG 1-7) exerts protective vasodilatory, anti-inflammatory, and anti-fibrotic actions through interaction with the MasR receptor. There are many important considerations when noting the role of ACE2 in the pathogenesis and sequelae of COVID-19 infection.

Background: We demonstrate a case series of 8 pediatric patients, all under 30 kg, who had leadless pacemaker implants via the internal jugular vein.

Methods: A retrospective review of pediatric leadless pacing placement via the internal jugular vein at the University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital and UC Davis Medical Center from 2018 through 2021 was performed. Rationales for pacing, demographics of patients, pacing thresholds, and longevity of devices were recorded.
