Quercetin is a natural flavonoid and one of the most powerful antioxidants. Due to its wide range of biological properties, it may improve cognitive and physical performance by affecting nervous tissue. The current study is aimed at determining the effect of prenatal exposure to quercetin against methimazole (MMI)-induced hypothyroidism on reflexive motor behavior in mouse offspring.

Nomination of a panel of molecules as the target for therapy and predicting prognosis in DLBCL is challenging because of the divergences in the results of molecular studies. Mass spectrometry (MS)-based proteomics in the clinic represents an analytical tool with the potential to improve DLBCL diagnosis and prognosis.

Portuguese universities were closed on March 16th 2020, when Portugal only registered 62 SARS-CoV-2 infection cases per million. We have validated a SARS-CoV-2 ELISA assay to a stabilized full-length spike protein using 216 pre-pandemic and 19 molecularly diagnosed SARS-CoV-2 positive individual's samples.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFAcellular bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL) proteomics can partially separate lung cancer from non-lung cancer patients based on principal component analysis and multivariate analysis. Furthermore, the variance in the proteomics data sets is correlated mainly with lung cancer status and, to a lesser extent, smoking status and gender. Despite these advances BAL small and large extracellular vehicles (EVs) proteomes reveal aberrant protein expression in paracrine signaling mechanisms in cancer initiation and progression.

Background: Regulatory T-Cells (Treg Cells), as one of the immune system components, have been highly effective in the autoimmune diseases prevention, particularly multiple sclerosis (MS). Cytokine-based therapies such as interferon beta-1a (IFN-β1a) is a common drug in MS treatment; however, its exact mechanisms are insufficiently described.
Objective: Therefore, the goal of this study was to evaluate the in vivo impact of IFN-β1a on the Treg Cells in MS.
Mesenchymal Stem Cells (MSCs) are one of the essential members of Bone Marrow (BM) microenvironment and the cells affect normal and malignant cells in BM milieu. One of the most important hematological malignancies is Multiple Myeloma (MM). Numerous studies reported various effects of MSCs on myeloma cells.

The ability of purification to give large separation between eigenvalues close to the HOMO-LUMO gap is used to accelerate convergence of the Lanczos method. Illustrations indicate that a new eigenpair is found more often than every second Lanczos iteration when the proposed methods are used.
