Implementation of Home-Based Telerehabilitation of Patients With Stroke in the United States: Protocol for a Realist Review.

Background: Stroke is a common cause of mortality and morbidity. Insufficient and untimely rehabilitation has been associated with inadequate recovery. Telerehabilitation provides an opportunity for timely and accessible services for individuals with stroke, especially in remote areas.

Comparison of corneal measurements in normal and keratoconus eyes using Anterior Segment Optical Coherence Tomography (AS-OCT) and Pentacam HR topographer.

Background: Keratoconus (KC) is easily recognized by its unique topographic pattern, but it can be difficult to distinguish subclinical form of the disease from the normal cornea. Optovue anterior segment optical coherence tomography (AS-OCT) helps diagnose KC.

Aim Of The Work: To assess and the level of agreement of Keratometry-readings (K), Central Corneal Thickness (CCT) and Thinnest Corneal Thickness (TCT) measurements obtained by Optovue AS-OCT and Wavelight Oculyzer Pentacam HR in two groups: KC eyes and normal eyes.

Analysis of a two-year independent screening effort for retinopathy of prematurity in rural Egypt.

Background: The third epidemic of retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) has majorly involved middle income countries in which tailored screening and local guidelines require development. The data regarding ROP prevalence and cutoff numbers for screening in Egypt are lacking.

Methods: Retrospective analysis of an independent screening effort spanning 2 years (February 2019 to February 2021) and involving 32 neonatal care units within Sharkia governorate, Egypt.

BAG3 expression and sarcomere localization in the human heart are linked to HSF-1 and are differentially affected by sex and disease.

Mutations to the sarcomere-localized cochaperone protein Bcl2-associated athanogene 3 (BAG3) are associated with dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM) and display greater penetrance in male patients. Decreased protein expression of BAG3 is also associated with nongenetic heart failure; however, the factors regulating cardiac BAG3 expression are unknown. Using left ventricular (LV) tissue from nonfailing and DCM human samples, we found that whole LV BAG3 expression was not significantly impacted by DCM or sex; however, myofilament localized BAG3 was significantly decreased in males with DCM.

Ultrasound-Guided Core-Needle Versus Vacuum-Assisted Breast Biopsy: A Cost Analysis Based on the American Society of Breast Surgeons' Mastery of Breast Surgery Registry.

Purpose: To evaluate the cost-efficacy of vacuum-assisted ultrasound-guided breast biopsy instruments compared to ultrasound-guided 14-gauge spring-loaded core-needle biopsy.

Methods: The American Society of Breast Surgeons' Mastery of Breast Surgery Registry was reviewed. Biopsy findings, any rebiopsy, and the instrument used were abstracted for 31,451 ultrasound-guided biopsy procedures performed between 2001 and July 2014.
