The Effect of Nasal Tip Defatting on Skin Thickness in Rhinoplasty: A Quasi-Experimental Study.

A few studies have been published on the clinical efficacy and safety of nasal tip defatting plus rhinoplasty, particularly among people with bulbous noses. Therefore, the present study aimed to assess the consequences of nasal tip defatting for skin thickness reduction. This quasi-experimental study was performed on 72 consecutive patients, candidates for aesthetic rhinoplasty.

Simple mucopexy and hemorrhoidal arterial ligation with and without Doppler guide: a randomized clinical trial for short-term outcome.

Purpose: Hemorrhoids are the most common benign anorectal diseases. Mucopexy strengthens the anal canal mucosa, which can be performed alone or in combination with Doppler-guided hemorrhoidal artery ligation (DG-HAL). In this study, we compared the postoperative complications between simple mucopexy plus HAL with and without a Doppler guide.

Background: A sore throat is one of the common causes behind visits to the physician and antibiotic overtreatment in the world, especially in Iran. There are six ways of approaching pharyngitis patients. It is necessary to perform a cost-effectiveness analysis and find the best approach in all situations on group A (GAS) pharyngitis management to propose a pharyngitis guideline.

Reverse Segond Fracture without Posterior Cruciate Ligament Injury - A report of Two Cases and Review of the Literature.

Introduction: Reverse Segond fracture is a cortical avulsion fracture off the medial tibial plateau of the knee, associated with tears of the posterior cruciate ligament (PCL), medial collateral ligament (MCL), medial meniscus, and probably the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL). Unlike Segond fracture, it is a very rare injury of the knee.

Case Report: Case one is a 24-year-old male with left tibial plateau and reverse Segond fracture with an magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) showing MCL avulsion, medial meniscus entrapped in fracture site and ACL tear but intact PCL.
