The present study evaluated the effect of the inclusion of cassava fermented with Saccharomyces cerevisiae yeasts on performance, feed intake, nutrient digestibility, rumen microorganisms and ruminal fermentation of cattle through a systematic review and meta-analysis. The effects of yeast-fermented cassava (YFC) in the diet of cattle were evaluated using the mean difference as a measure of the effect size, considering a confidence interval of 95%. Subgroup and meta-regression analysis were performed to investigate the origin of heterogeneity.

Cervical carcinosarcoma: approach of a rare tumour in a rare location.

Cervical carcinosarcoma is a very rare tumour, with less than 70 cases described in the literature. We report a case of a woman in her 60s, with an atypical presentation: a single episode of high volume serous vaginal discharge. A carcinosarcoma of the uterine cervix was diagnosed and, after exclusion of distant disease, the patient was submitted to radical surgery.

The aim of this work was to determine the seroprevalence of Neospora caninum in buffaloes (Bubalus bubalis) from Maranhão State, Brazil, and identify risk factors associated with infection. In total, 338 buffaloes of different ages and both sexes from four farms were randomly selected. Information about the study region, animals and management was collected using an epidemiological questionnaire.
