Although the impact of such experience in the mother has been increasingly studied over the past years, less is known about the neurobiological correlates of fatherhood-that is, the alterations in the brain and other physiological systems associated with the experience of fatherhood. With the present study, we aimed to perform a scoping review of the available literature on the genetic, neuroendocrine, and brain correlates of fatherhood and identify the main gaps in the current knowledge.

The present work shows key possibilities in modelling the kinetics of phenylacetaldehyde formation as a function of sugar, phenolic compounds, metals and sulphur dioxide. The release kinetics were measured online by proton transfer reaction-mass spectrometry (PTR-MS). Phenylacetaldehyde formation was fitted using Weibull models and an activation energy of 73 kJ/mol estimated.

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) can lead to increased dependence on the informal caregiver and, consequently, to distress associated with caregiving burden. In the general population, higher levels of physical activity (PA) are related to lower distress levels; however, this relationship has been scarcely studied in COPD. This study aimed to explore the relationship between distress and PA in informal caregivers of patients with COPD, and the influence of caregivers' (age, sex) and patients' (age, sex, lung function) characteristics and caregiving duration on this relationship.
