Background: The juxta-anastomotic stenosis (JAS) represents the major complication of arteriovenous fistula (AVF) during the first months after the surgery and the approach to JAS can be surgical or radiological.

Methods: From 01/02/2016 to 31/12/2020, a total of 976 radiocephalic fistulas have been performed. The 15.

Granulomatosis with polyangiitis (GPA) is an ANCA-positive systemic vasculitis that mainly involves lungs and kidneys. This condition rarely overlaps with other glomerulonephritides. A 42-year-old man with constitutional symptoms and haemophtoe was admitted to the Infectious Diseases department, where he was subjected to fibrobronchoscopy with BAL (broncho-alveolar lavage) and lung transbronchial biopsy that showed histological signs of vasculitis.

Background: Native arteriovenous fistula is the preferred vascular access in term of functionality, efficiency and complication rate. Nevertheless, research continues to seek strategies to reduce the risk of neointimal hyperplasia and hemodynamic modification. The aim of the study was to evaluate the impact on hemodynamic of the VasQ device in arteriovenous fistulae creation.

Peripherally Inserted Central Catheters (PICCs) are widely used for hospitalized patients particularly in the oncological and hematological field. PICCs are a safe alternative to central venous catheters, mainly for medium- and long-term therapy.

To date the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS- CoV-2), known as COVID-19, is for clinicians the most difficult global therapeutic problem. In this landscape, the management of patients with chronic kidney disease, acute kidney injury or patients undergoing immunosuppressant therapies for kidney transplant or glomerular diseases, represent a clinical challenge for nephrologists, especially in patients with severe acute lung involvement. Therefore in this setting, due to the lack of anti-COVID treatment schedules, tailored management is mandatory to reduce the side effects, as consequence of impaired renal function and drugs interactions.

A 39-year man with primary steroid resistant focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS) was treated with mycophenolate mofetil and ACE-inhibitors. After six months a different therapeutics approach was mandatory due to the worsening of renal function and the relapse of proteinuria at the nephrotic range. The combination of cascade plasmafiltration and single dose of rituximab (375 mg/m²) achieved clinical remission and improved renal function in six months follow up.

Background: A lack of awareness of chronic kidney disease (CKD) often results in delayed diagnosis and inadequate treatment.

Purpose: The objective of this study was to assess the therapeutic management and outcome of nondialysis CKD patients.

Methods: Three hundred ninety-seven patients (54.

Background: Vascular access (VA) complications account for a significant number of hospital admissions in dialysis and have substantial costs. A native arteriovenous fistula (AVF) cannot be successfully obtained in all patients. At our center, we established an autogenous brachial-basilic AVF (BBAVF) in the upper arm in patients with a failed forearm fistula or with superficial vessels that were unsuitable for preparing a good site for VA.
