Factors associated with therapeutic non-adherence in asthmatic patients: A multicenter study in Algeria.

Introduction: Effective medication adherence, is a real global challenge that emerges as a pivotal factor influencing asthma control, exacerbation frequency, hospitalization rates and ultimately, mortality, morbidity and health care costs. In light of this, our study aimed to assess therapeutic adherence levels among asthmatic patients and identify factors contributing to non-adherence.

Methods: We conducted a descriptive, cross-sectional multicenter study, among asthmatic patients receiving outpatient or inpatient care across seven asthma centers located in two Algerian cities: Algiers (University Hospital Center of Benimessous, University Hospital Center of Bab el oued,EPSP of Zeralda, EPSP of Beraki and EPSP of Rouiba) and Constantine (Constantine University Hospital Center (CHU), EPSP of Constantine), between July and December 2023.

Blood Lead Levels in the Population Living in Algeria: A Cross-Sectional National Study.

Lead poisoning, is currently recognized as a real public health problem, The WHO classifies lead as one of 10 chemicals of serious public health concern. In Algeria and North Africa, to date, no study on the evaluation of lead impregnation has been carried out at the national level. [Factors associated with therapeutic non-adherence in renal transplant patients: a bicentric study in Algeria].

Introduction: Medication non-adherence is a global concern, particularly in the context of renal transplantation, where it leads to graft failures, increased hospitalizations, diminished quality of life for patients, and higher healthcare costs. The aim of this study was to assess the level of therapeutic adherence among Algerian kidney transplant recipients and identify potential influencing factors.

Methods: A descriptive, cross-sectional bicenter study was conducted among kidney transplant patients receiving outpatient care at two specialized medical centers in Algeria: the Urology Department of the Hospital Establishment for Urology, Nephrology, and Renal Transplantation in Constantine, and the Nephrology and Renal Transplantation Department of the University Hospital Center (CHU) in Blida, spanning from January to December 2022.

HET-CAM test. Application to shampoos in developing countries.

Introduction: The use of in vitro methods for the control of cosmetic products in developing countries must overcome cost, feasibility and an unfavourable regulatory environment. Among these products, shampoos occupy an important part of the market but present a number of risks related to their use like eye irritation. The aim of this work is to propose the HET-CAM test as a method of screening the risk of eye irritation of shampoos, adapting it to the technical and regulatory conditions of a developing country such as Algeria.
