Background/objectives: Adult hearing-impaired patients qualifying for cochlear implants typically exhibit less than 60% sentence recognition under the best hearing aid conditions, either in quiet or noisy environments, with speech and noise presented through a single speaker. This study examines the influence of deep neural network-based (DNN-based) noise reduction on cochlear implant evaluation.
Methods: Speech perception was assessed using AzBio sentences in both quiet and noisy conditions (multi-talker babble) at 5 and 10 dB signal-to-noise ratios (SNRs) through one loudspeaker.
Objective: To compare the utility of intraoperative electrically evoked auditory brainstem response (eABR) and electrically evoked stapedial reflex testing (eSRT) for cochlear nerve integrity monitoring during simultaneous translabyrinthine resection of vestibular schwannoma (VS) and cochlear implantation.
Study Design: Historical cohort study.
Setting: Tertiary academic referral center.
Objectives: During cochlear implant (CI) electrode placement, single low-frequency (e.g., 500 Hz) cochlear microphonics (CM) measurements are used to monitor hair-cell function and provide feedback to avert insertion trauma.

Background: Learning in medical education involves a multitude of practical tasks and skills that are amenable to feedback provision. Though passive feedback is given, there is a consistent gap in feedback provision and its receipt. This study aims to assess provider perspectives on feedback and learner attributes influencing the receipt of feedback in medical educational settings.

Background: Stunting or chronic malnutrition has been one of the major challenges to mankind for ages. The trends from the National Family Health surveys are more or less stagnant with a huge failure of the public health systems to tackle the problem of malnutrition. Innovative approaches are needed to tackle malnutrition.

Earlier studies indicate Cyclic Meditation (CM) being beneficial for managing anxiety and improving sleep quality. Thus, the current study was designed to investigate the effect of CM on anxiety and sleep quality among sailors.

Therefore, the present study was planned with the objective to study the effects of media exposure on the psychological health of undergraduate medical students at a tertiary health institute.
Aim: To assess the psychological effects of social media/media use and coping mechanisms adopted during the COVID-19 pandemic.
This case report details the clinical evaluation, imaging findings, and surgical management of a 17-year-old female with a two-year history of persistent knee pain and recurrent patellar dislocations. Despite the absence of traumatic injury, the patient exhibited significant anatomical abnormalities, including a laterally dislocated patella, shallow trochlear groove, increased tibial tuberosity to trochlear groove (TT-TG) distance, and patella alta by calculating Insall-Salvati ratio. The Insall-Salvati ratio is a radiographic measurement used to assess the position of the patella within the knee joint.

Objective: The aim of this study is to assess the effect of Yoga-based breathing practices on the mental state of patients with COVID-19.
Material And Methods: A randomized controlled trial was conducted with63 patients (male=46) who were RT-PCR positive for COVID-19 and hospitalized with asymptomatic (RT-PCR positive but no symptoms), mild (febrile, body ache, pharyngitis, nonproductive cough), and moderate (SpO2< 92%) symptoms assigned in the yoga (n=32) and control group (n=31).

In some patients, this can be resolved by adjusting the electrical stimulation parameters. However, for others, facial stimulation can significantly impair CI outcomes or even prevent its use.

There remain concerns related to these grafts, especially the potential impact on ankle functions.
Aims/objective: The purpose of this review and meta-analysis is to summarize the available evidence for ankle functional outcomes after PL harvest.
A bilateral anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tear is one of the rare injuries that is seen in orthopaedics practice. Although few single-staged bilateral ACL ruptures have also been documented, most bilateral ACL ruptures happen on two different occasions. Although there isn't a clear consensus, there have been accounts of both single-staged and two-staged reconstruction of bilateral ACL ruptures in the literature.

Cochlear implantation has become the standard of care for the treatment of moderate-to-profound bilateral sensorineural hearing loss. However, current technologies, all of which rely on an external sound processor, have intrinsic limitations that prevent certain activities and diagnostics, thus hampering full integration into a patient's lifestyle. The Envoy Medical (White Bear Lake, MN, USA) Acclaim fully implanted cochlear implant is a new device currently undergoing testing that has been designed to alleviate many of the current constraints by housing all components within the patient, thus allowing for near-constant use in many environments that are not conducive to a traditional cochlear implant.

Fixation of the involved bone with the ring is commonly achieved using four rings, each having two Ilizarov wires that are passed along the superior surface of the ring, then across the bone, and exiting out on the opposite side touching the surface of the ring. The case report herein reports a patient who kept the ring fixator on his thigh without any problem for a long period of five and a half years.
