Background: Outflow tract (OT) premature ventricular contractions (PVCs) are commonly found in clinical practice; in most cases, PVCs are benign and observed in structurally normal hearts, not requiring any therapeutic intervention. In this study, we therefore sought to evaluate with cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) patients with PVC and apparently normal heart at echocardiographic examination, in order to identify possible substrates linked with higher prevalence of arrhythmias or structural heart disease.
Methods: Thirty-three consecutive patients with frequent PVCs originating from the ventricular OT (right and left) were enrolled in the study and assessed by echocardiography and CMR.
Objectives: We aimed to describe the feasibility of a surgical left thoracotomy for catheter ablation of scar-related ventricular tachycardia (VT) in patients with inaccessible pericardial access.
Background: Pericardial adhesion due to prior cardiac surgery or previous epicardial ablation procedures limits epicardial access in patients with drug-refractory VT originated from the epicardium.

In all cases, the spectrum shows clear vibronic features, but it is monosignated and negative for PhEtOH and meta-ClPhEtOH, positive for the ortho isomer and bisignated for the para isomer. Secondary objectives were to evaluate the effect on transepidermal water loss (TEWL) and cutaneous hydration and to determine the subjects' evaluation of efficacy, tolerability and future use.

Surface topography profoundly influences cell adhesion, differentiation, and stem cell fate control. Numerous studies using a variety of materials demonstrate that nanoscale topographies change the intracellular organization of actin cytoskeleton and therefore a broad range of cellular dynamics in live cells. However, the underlying molecular mechanism is not well understood, leaving why actin cytoskeleton responds to topographical features unexplained and therefore preventing researchers from predicting optimal topographic features for desired cell behavior.

Due to the lack of effective measures for prevention, the late diagnosis and the small benefit of systemic treatment, GBC has an ominous prognosis and became an important public health problem in this part of the continent, where the most important risk factors are gallstone disease, female gender, age, ethnic groups, and low socioeconomic status. Many genetic abnormalities have been described in series from SA, some of them similar and others unique in comparison to gene alterations in GBC from other regions of the world.
